I've rarely seen books that hit the mark of so many characters being treated fondly by the author, but still doing some really terrible things, and then finding their way around to getting it together and doing right again. It especially stands out in the Silver Chair where the characters are often fighting and both non-stop making mistakes and failing. Voyage of the Dawn Treader has most characters being tested and failing at some point, but realizing their mistakes and growing from them.
I know the Christian themes are unpopular here but they're really well done imo
