They were installed at a point where you processed credit cards with a carbon paper swipe in general and the concept of electronically debited accounts was newfangled and required massive amounts of custom software.

We featured Dauphine's, a New Orleans-style restaurant near McPherson Square, in our local restaurant show. I've been there myself, and while I didn't get the Duck Jambalaya featured on Signature Dish, I thought the Blackened Bluefish Creole was delicious.
