People on the early metro commute who talk incredibly loud on the phone non-stop barely even taking a breath between sentences. Is there even really someone else on the other end?! Who in their right mind could bare just being barked at like that for so long without even being able to get a single word in?!

Ohhh good to know bc the concierge at one501 told me that he’s not supposed to say anything about what’s going on other than everything is OK lol

Unpopular opinion: I’ve been cycling for over a decade, and while I sympathize for the cyclist, I can also believe that this man is rehabilitated and I don’t know if an additional 11 months of punishment (from rejecting the motion to vacate) does more than the potential positive effects of him seeing goodwill through vacation of the sentence.

a neighboring apt’s concierge told me there’s a high profile warrant out for someone who locked themselves in one of the one501 units. bc they’re resisting arrest, there’s a swat team and bomb squad standing by.

It is too early for these shenanigans.

Is this that mountain of plastic debris that magically appeared after they cut down all the bamboo and shrub?!
Regardless, thank you and your team. An excellent way to give back to the community.

They were set up outside my building at like 4am. No idea what it's for though.
Update: I got an email from my building and apparently there is someone who barricaded themselves in an apartment at the One501. No other info

Seems very low to me. We are spending $350K for a (high quality) reno of our kitchen and bathroom and conversion of attic to master bedroom suite. Not even a full gut. I would be wary.

I took the Metro down, got off at L’Enfant and had a very pleasant walk to the tidal basin on a gorgeous day.

For real. Sunday was incredible, and all these putzes spent it breathing exhaust from inside their Dodge Caravans. What a waste.

Post-Covid. We got three or four bids, all of which which were 70-90k.

August bought a 780sf condo in Atlanta. Moved kitchen + full bath + laundry location + knocked down 2 walls + new half bath + new floors + new trim + lifted ceiling some areas. With IKEA kitchen almost 90K and I had a super affordable contractor.
One bathroom in DC recently cost me 16K . I had budgeted 8K. Left original floor.

This is my favorite ad. FBI is trying to get Russians to defect by enticing them with the capital’s wonderful transit.

Yo I live in DC, use Metro, and would love if the city addressed crime (which has legitimately exploded the past few years) and made trains more efficient (though Metro is pretty great compared to many other US transit systems).

It’s really a event for kids. You might as well go with other adults to the American Girl Cafe.
