So Georgetown is a special place where only rich people can go. If you have a Range Rover or Roles Royce, you can park there without getting a ticket. which means that is your place too sleep. However, if you drive anything made before 2015, you are going to get F'ed in the A!!! That is what the police there get paid for. AND THEY BRAG ABOUT IT!!! Many videos on YouTube.

I'm only saying experiences that depend on access to cheap real estate are harder to come by here, and one of the trade-offs of choosing to live in an expensive city is having to go to the burbs sometimes to experience them, just like one has to go to the burbs to go to Ikea, pavilion-style concert venues, a Korean spa, etc. Whether the experience of sitting in a coffee shop is worth the trip is will vary from person to person, obviously.

That said, I do sometimes bike out to Vigilante if the weather's nice. It's about a half hour's ride from my house, and it is, indeed, a nice place to hang out.

Hmm, I think the next course of action would be to give it to a police station but not sure if they’d do anything. Did you find it just on the street somewhere or was it near a business/metro? You could always leave it with someone who works there in case the person retraces their steps to find it.

Architectural style should not matter, buildings serve a purpose for the community. We shouldn’t over complicate the issue by trying to make any city fit anyones criteria of “beautiful”. What would be beautiful is a city that prioritizes the needs of the people over a small minorities design preferences.

Residents likely kept it out. The US hasn’t built public housing (eg Sursum Corda) in decades except for some privately financed developments (and have a lot of variation). In theory, households could use vouchers to rent units in Georgetown but I am going to guess the lease-up rate for vouchers is quite low there.
