Call Your Mother is the best for bagels in the city. You can schedule your order on their Tock in advance for next-day delivery so there’s no waking up and waiting an hour. Life-altering revelation.

In NE, I Egg You is great for a greasy Texas Toast breakfast sammy, and they have always have a new weekend special. They put this delightful old bay jalapeño sauce on the side and it’s fantastic. Side loaded potatoes are also a winner.

If you want fried tots, Cracked Eggery is good but their sandwiches are burger style and not quite as good as I Egg You.

That’s all I got. Enjoy.

I drove through the Watkins Park and Annapolis christmas lights during the holidays every year and enjoy it from the car. This is very similar to that. Taking Metro is a hassle, the trains are filthy and just not a good experience. Uber is Ok, but why take an Uber when you can drive to see this shit?

Assuming this was Thursday, then to me sitting right adjacent, the traffic was angry, and most of it was looking for parking. just seeing trees from a car window seems both like a waste of time and boring to me, but sure, if it's just for a pretty road to drive to somewhere else, then it's almost as convenient as taking the metro, and maybe almost as good of an event as actually seeing the trees and spending time with the environment.

Whatever you wanna believe I guess dude.

The traffic doesn’t look very angry in this video. These folks are calmly driving through and sitting briefly. They’re not wasting time parking, then having to walk to see the trees, then walk back to the car. They’re enjoying the trees from their cars, then heading for the next destination.

Breakfast tacos at Foxtrot (at least the Mt Vernon Square location). They're small and tasty, just right for a quick breakfast.

Buffalo & Bergen at Union Market is great (order online in advance)

Bullfrog Bagels is good too.

I could be mistaken, but I’m pretty sure DC zoning limits seating at coffee shops to 18 seats as they are classified as prepared foods shops. This applies to places without a kitchen / full menu of food. If a place serves food and has a kitchen, they are entitled to more seats.

This aint no egg McMuffin with off shelf mass produced products. The sandwich itself is practically a caricature of hipster-small-batch-homemade since everything including the hot sauce is made from scratch. They might as well tell us the hen's name. Queue Portlandia skit

I'm admittedly a Elle stan but i remember back in the day the bfast sandwich was made to order in front and it takes long AF bc they do that French omelet technique and put a TON of butter. Actually it's prob better that they make it BOH so people don't know how much butter goes into a single sandwich.

Best yes expensive and not a quick brand and go.
