Seconding the Arboretum! I saw a bunch of hummingbirds last summer in the fields of wildflowers near the columns.

I have no details but I thought it was very strange we had a pink bus driving around the northeast under the guise of advertising to tourists. I figured it was just an ineffective harebrained scheme doubling as a way to legally hand out kickbacks. Maybe something more nefarious happened too.

You failed to empathize with the victims by denying the victims of the violent felon the right to defend their own lives by using the same level of deadly force the violent felon chooses to use to commit his crimes and inflict fear and suffering on innocent people in an otherwise peaceful society.

It's been 9 hours since your reply. Figured convo was still going.
More than happy to let this drop, because it's pretty obvious neither of us is going to budge. Hope you have a great spring!

A. The people who gave us the trees
B. [DC, as the biggest part of the cherry blossom festival is called Sakura Matsuri](https://nationalcherryblossomfestival.org/)
Sakura literally means cherry blossom. Cherry blossoms don't taste like cherries. The trees we have a festival for don't produce fruit.

Tens of thousands of people are lining up downtown for a festival called Sakura Matsuri, and local restaurants serve drinks during it that taste like cherry. That is the post.

It's been 48 hours. Please go away.

Who the fuck calls it Sakura season though?
Absolutely no one! It's not unreasonable to admit that for most people, the words "cherry tree" are the applicable words, and that, due to common practice, people associate the word "cherry" with the flavor of "cherry".
If someone released a sakura beer and it tasted like bing cherries, by all means, hit 'em up. But no one is lining up outside their local bar for a "sakura surprise" cocktail.

Try the gardens at Dumbarton House or the National Arboretum.

When did I not empathize with the victims? How does not wanting people (“violent felons”) murdered have anything to do with those being assaulted by them?

DC is so pure this time of year. Everyone genuinely ecstatic to look at the trees and flowers. I love it.

Force them to take the compactor off auto start and switch it to manual run mode. That way they only run it when valet waste / maintenance staff is working

I know.... that's your problem. You want to ignore the felon's violent crimes and his victims to draw "empathy" for the violent felon. You want to zero out any thoughts or empathy for his victims and the rest of society who have to live in fear of being a victim of a felon with a gun stealing cars and trying to drag people to their death. Where's the empathy for people who want to live in a place where they don't have to fear being a victim to people like your buddy?

The unique thing about this city is how many residents do NOT pay for their own rent.

As long as 20-40 year olds keep getting money printed at the bank of rich parents. That and dual income lawyer couples from already wealthy backgrounds.
