So glad you had a good time! (I actually grew up and live in northern Virginia, but the city is close enough that I've been to the museums and such many times over the years.) Reading posts like this just reminds me that many of us in the DMV take those things for granted and don't visit them as often as we should.

Ditto for me! We stayed in Crystal City and loved it! The city and train were pretty clean and we kept finding places to enter the subway/mall closer and closer to our hotel!

I say “pretty clean” because, well, full disclosure…. On the steps to a subway entrance this morning, we saw a pile where some human had shat right there.

I figure if that’s the worst I see in 5 days it’s been a pretty good trip.

I feel like half of the items in the Giant at Van Ness metro stop is always 2 for 1 or on clearance sale. I always wonder if its cause no one is ever in that Giant. Point being perhaps checking out the Van Ness Giant? Everything is always on sale, especially if you shop there in the middle of the week.

Yea that’s not how it works… you would never get more than you paid for the bike. There are also versions of the bill that have it so you need to by from a dc based bike shop who facilitates the rebate, no bike shops have those garbage AliExpress bikes. Now if you got a free or nearly free bike and never use it well then sucks to be you, but there are going to be others that do so i say we are still coming out ahead.

The machine would break and the building would be without a necessary service if the machine was allowed to be overfilled denying an entire building use of an essential service. The paragraph you copied has absolutely nothing to do with this situation.
