It’s the NY real estate market, I’d say it’s probably a requisite to be a prick. The nice guys are analysts working 120 hours a week commuting from Brooklyn.

I have TQQQ puts at $25.50 strike. Does this mean I’m not completely regarded?

Oh he’s 100% right about being one of the all-time great short sellers. I just don’t think he needs to tell us that he’s the “greatest of all time” (literally his words) 50x in the span of an interview.

Low interest rates only helps people and corporations spend money that they don’t have.
Growth should come organically and not be fuelled by debt.
Interest rates should remain high even if inflation subsides.

Most FAANG stocks were chopped in half since the pandemic. They just making a bounce and helped by bank sector money moving out and parking it in big techs. What was once deemed as safe far as bank stocks now went to bitcoin and big tech imo.

He’s telling you to sell them, not buy them though. Basically, if you wanted to sell 100 shares when it hits $140 again, you could just sell a covered call at a strike price of $140 with months until expiration, and get paid while you wait for it to hit the price you were gonna sell at anyways. Or it doesn’t hit $140 by then and you keep your shares and the money you got for selling the call.

initially felt the "not for sale" rumor was bullish til i read this article. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/first-republic-bank-not-currently-203308150.html
Definitely didn't feel better about my position after reading this, except the article looks like it was written by fkn bard ai or a regarded intern. it says 30 trillion was injected by the big banks...it was actually 30B lol
