So what we’re saying is the word “underrated” has no real meaning and can be used to describe anything. Like “Smurf”.

I don't use them as a measure of much but I enjoy watching them and the way they serve as a diving board for chatter about the year's media.

I've never used them as a measure of anything for TV shows as places like this sub has me covered and have read it daily for I don't know how long, over a decade? but I used to use the Oscars as a prompt to try some movies. I don't watch many movies so I assumed the Oscar nominees were the creme de la creme, reality was that although some would be really good most were clearly just made with the Oscars in mind.
I see the whole awards scene as them all just patting each other in the back, it has little to do with us the viewers.

He was amazing in the Dragnet reboot from 2001 or so. He showed some amazing chops as Joe Friday.

I still cannot believe House of the Dragon used the same exact song. So lame.

It's not in the lexicon like other comparative shows like breaking bad, game of thrones, or even lost.
And we all know it's better than lost

as much as I didn't like the alert pilot, I did watch the last 2 minutes of every episode until the finale. enough to follow the overarching thing without suffering through the weekly cases and the not really likable main characters. still didn't hold my interest enough to do the same with the last 2 eps.
the uk original of accused was a mixed bag (it's to be expected from an anthology series) but it had some really strong eps, hoping for the same with the remake. it'll have more eps (15) in s1 alone than the uk version altogether (6+4).

For me, Justified has the absolute worst intro song. Like, I can't fall asleep to the show, because I don't want to curse myself by waking up to that song. Great show, terrible theme.

The Shattered World was one of my favorite books when I was in middle school. Thirty years later I still think of ripping it off every time I start a new DnD campaign.

While his TV work is nothing short of fantastic, his novel Interworld (with Neil Gaiman) had a profound influence on me as a kid--it was the first book I read that really touched on Multiverse stuff, in ways I didn't see again until Everything Everywhere All At Once.

I remember being livid during the clone wars when an important character in said book died in the clone wars meaning said book could never happen

Like pretty much everyone else in this thread has already said: They mean absolutely nothing to me.

All these articles are just pointing out one thing; how clueless entertainment journalists are to how sarcastic and witty Brian Cox is

It is animated but Centaurworld actually has some amazing music. Odd show tho. Not bad, just Adventure Time for horse girls.

I bet Vegas has good odds. Sometimes its Rapes Per Episode (RPE) or sometimes they save it all up for the end of the season and it becomes Rapes Per Season (RPS).

Much like Handmaid's last fall, I'm amazed that this isn't even their last season.

That decent drama barometer nominated (not even awarded) the Wire only twice for writing in 2005 and 2008. I get the Sopranos and Six Feet Under aired through the Wire’s run and both are deserving of Outstanding Drama Series noms.
But Greys Anatomy, 24, House…over the Wire???

Game of Thrones was in development for years before that. It was a long, difficult road getting it to air.
