Teams video calls still lack annotations which drives me crazy. That's why I still prefer zoom over it

Still good that they’re permabanning these shitheads, whether it’s from kindness or not. That’s not what matters.
What matters is they are cracking down on the vile shit

All they had to do was keep MSN messenger alive. But noooo, they couldn't

I don't get the hate on Teams, it serves its purpose decently. Far better than that bs zoom.

Some people just really struggle to separate business from personal feelings, and understand the complex nature of having an investment board or large groups running things. While it's nice they did this, it should be obvious that many other changes will eventually follow that will be a net negative for the content and users unfortunately. Always is when this happens. It's good the subreddits are gone, but bad if overall users drop like a rock or leave in droves because of profitable changes.

You do realise prototype /= end product , this is why engineers of all kinds hate management.
Yea yes the bare basic flight tests rule the design capable of staying aloft , straight into production it goes.

Agreed. Not to mention while one or two things might end up being a positive, the overall change will be a net negative for the content and users. It always is.

Well, they know that Teams will be the last thing on your taskbar… that much is certain.

I can't be the only one that has old laptops laying around that are still good machines, but no longer really useful as laptops. Being able to swap them into a thin-client-esque case and use them as small home servers, etc. would be awesome.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, I got banned from there for saying people shouldn’t make death threats, because apparently that’s a firmly pro-death threat sub.

While I worked there they fired people for not smiling during all-store meetings… it seemed like a loose-cult at times because everyone seemed to be brainwashed by Apple (the examples sound petty to type them out but it definitely was an odd experience)

The prototype was a large sized drone powered by a conventional aviation fuel powered turbojet at speeds of about 200 km/h. The switch to hydrogen is theoretical, the hyperspeed (let alone supersonic) is just aspirational. And by aspirational I mean
- Raise lots of grants and venture capital
- Keep lots of scientists, engineers and management paid for many years
- Give up in about 10 years and move on to new project

I don't think you quite get the engineering challenges of building a hypersonic aircraft.
It's not just a case of slapping bigger engines on. The demand for a passenger scramjet isn't high enough to offset development and maintenance costs.
For moving large payloads, we're not moving away from turbofan any time soon.
