Fine I'll do more than skim read it.
It's about the violent activism from the 70s targeting tech companies for their involvement in the Vietnam war, including four bombings and a kidnapping. My earlier comment wasn't far off the mark

At least the feudal period had people who produced and commissioned some beautiful art and buildings.

But the problem is that current lawmakers cannot wrap their heads around what's happening (Tiktok ceo hearing proved it) or they are in the pockets of these billionaires as they need funds for the elections. It's going to be a very difficult task to regulate the big tech.

Silicon Valley doesn't "keep coming up" with ideas like that.
Yes, the guy is a kook. Every group has kooks. Just this guy had the money to get his kooky idea to a ballot.
There have been other bigtime kooks too.

Their prices were high before "inflation' now they are just insane.
They also recently removed all of the deals you can get in the app and replaced them with bullshit like $5 off $25 if you are in the sip club (price rocketed up on that too).
It used to be $1-2 off each weekend. They never have any coupons anymore.
Unsold bakery items used to go for $1 now they are only 50% off.

The Panera sub is full of brainwashed employees who justify these bullshit prices yet have not seen a meaningful pay raise. It is sticked at the top of the sub.
Their new subs are also god awful and are clearly a cost cutting measure.

Amen! Im a YouTuber and have been doing YT full time for 11 years now... I personally struggle with social media... Last few years I've actually given up on Twitter and Instagram a lot and its hurt my work but made me a lot saner... When I took a month off this Jan i was totally off all socials, even switched to a phone with a 3" display to keep myself from checking socials... Best damn month in a long time!

Well there was a lot said in the article. it’s funny that all you got out of it was mild death threats when it was about sabotage in the 1970s.

The article vaguely suggests they should be afraid of either murder or activism

Ehhh, at their scale, paying humans to moderate is a tad infeasible, and ai-based moderation is very much a work in progress. For that matter, I think a lot of people would be really uncomfortable if a random human was reading the messages they sent to their mother. They could definitely do better, particularly when it comes to really widely spread stuff, but I doubt that they'll ever be able to get all objectionable content off of the site.

It honestly astounds me how easily managers and ceo’s can fuck over their entire business in one easy move and they have no idea.
Frictionless? Do you think entering a phone number is this really hard arduous process compared to literally scanning my body parts?
Insane. Absolutely insane. If I was an engineer at Panera I would be packing my bags. No way this guy has the chops to keep such an expensive sandwich shop going in the coming economic trials.
