Isnt it a one time fee? That isnt how making money in tech works so guaranteed it isnt being done that way to generate revenue.

I meant you could recreate some of the "in person collaboration" crap by actually encouraging people to communicate while working from home.

We have the same culture where I work. What impact are you having? Not how did you make that impact. Just yesterday our CEO said in a town hall that failure to come in the 3-days a week without an approved exception would be reflected in performance reviews.

It blows me away how willing people are to just allow corporations to have unilateral power when they are the economic size of a decent sized country, especially in Apple’s case. But these same people would freak the fuck out if the government told them to do the same shit. The brainwashing is real in America. Suck the corporation’s dick and never complain. Don’t like it? Find another corporation, where you’ll checks notes have to suck their dick. Ah, the illusion of freedom in capitalist America.

Why do people think they can just do whatever they want on someone else's dollar? You end up getting fired just to get replaced by someone who will be paid less but extremely happy because it's the most they ever made. Sounds dumb.

Elon Musk wants his return on investment. Everyone has to do a check to Elon.

Reply to comment by Badfickle in Ford says EV unit losing billions, should be seen as startup by EW234
>Ford Blue, the unit that sells internal combustion and gas-electric hybrid vehicles, made just over $10 billion before taxes during the last two years. Ford Pro, the commercial vehicle unit, made $5.9 billion during those years, the company said.
They litterally said they resplit their companies from regions to products to show how their bread an butter(the one with 20+ models is stil profitable while the one that is developing (the one with 3 models with a ton of R&D) is the one with debt. They still make 16bn on ICE cars and trucks while losing 3bn on models not even 2 years old.
If I'm reading between the lines, the division with all the growth is losing money as all the R&D is overhead cost and the sales are starting to return revenue.
Ford gets to tell their investors that they are making good money by putting all the rightful debt spendings on EVs while their earnings numbers are untouched.
Even in the report it says they expect EVs to drag on a short to mid term basis.

Why do people think a link proof? Like of you're citing something sure but you're not...
If you can't give your own arguments you're not informed enough to say why.

"such as abortion clinics, especially in the wake of the incredibly moronic and repressive laws recently enacted in some states."
.....do you not understand what misuse would mean? Tracking people who break the law isn't fucking misusing it...god you people really think one way, using the same logic cars should be banned from law enforcement...
"It could also be misused in the same way by falsefying records to make people appear where they were not or being purely convicted by association."
Fucking how??? Like wtf? That doesn't even make any sense!
"Say there was a drug bust in a neigborhood and someone that had a criminal record was keeping clean, ends up being recorded his car just passing through. People have gone to jail for less."
Like no that's not a realistic scenario! Being near a crime ISN'T ENOUGH TO GET SOMEONE ARRESTED!

Well, even if that's true, as a former Apple engineer, all you need to have is a coworker reference that can vouch for you. I'm not sure why another company would be able to search through an employee database of a different company in the first place.

When I was working there you had to be on the company vpn to search the employee database but it's been a few years so I don't know what's changed.

You did say set up tracking of certain plates. They cant do that. . When there is a crime. They only give access to an admin. So you live in a neighborhood and the system records your car driving in your neighborhood. There is no explaining or justifying to those that are just anti surveillance. Keep in mind that almost every home has cameras monitoring the public ROW as well as every commercial property. These have been around for well over 20 years.

No stop lying!
Like seriously if you have to lie you're wrong! The ONLY counter argument to that link I send would be another showing it being wrong! ANYTHING ELSE DOESN'T MATTER!
Again please find help you clearly have issues if you need to defend a shit company this hard.
