I’m all for pet rescues but that particular one is overly picky. They have some crazy expectations and requirements. Someone I know who SPOILS THE SHIT out of all the cats she’s ever had was denied by them because she previously had a cat she allowed to go outside (when they lived on a big piece of land away from roads). It’s gotten to the point that I tell people to avoid that group when looking to adopt a cat. It’s a shame, but it’s true.

CoxHealth offers health insurance for part time as long as you work at least 40 hours per pay period (which is every 2 weeks). They have lots of jobs that don't involve direct patient care or certification. Health information management would be a department where your computer skills would probably benefit you as well, and it's not specifically IT support since thats handled mainly through a third party called Cerner.

Did he have a bit about saying the word Floof?

Or was it the one who was talking about making a whole new kind of meth and a whole new kind of chicken that’s got nuts in it?

I used to work there

This looks like it might be a lost/found animal post because it contains the word cat. Please consider posting lost and found pet to Leigh's Lost and Found. I’d check with the placement agencies if you have not already. I don’t know what your IT Security knowledge entails, but employers are willing to pay a premium for that space.

Yeah the equation all changes. If part time either expect to be paid less than a full time counterpart to offset the cost per hour of your health insurance, or just pay for it out of pocket.

Say your premium is $500/mo or whatever. At 40hr/wk that's $2.88/hr additional an employer is compensating. At 30hr/wk that's $3.84/hr. At 20hr/wk that's $5.75 more. At 15hr/wk that's $7.70 more.

Someone explain to me why there are no Jack in the Box's around here? One would think that Springfield would be a prime target area for them. And as they have lots of locations in KC and StL areas they have the infrastructure in place to support some down here. If Pannera can do it so can Jack in the Box.

Try getting care in Germany. Pretty bad experience in Stuttgart, a place with a large US military population. Big part of the reason we came back to SGF. These stories aside, my experience at Mercy and the VA clinic in SGF has been a relative joy vs. Germany. And their system is not single payer, either. Lots of cash for services, much more than here, as well as private insurance and hospital horror stories.
