Popping in to say my brother discovered these just a few minutes ago in our driveway and the yards/driveways of our whole street. We live on the west side too. ETA: we found a total of nine. Our neighbor's kids said a white truck was doing the deed, but they didn't see the driver or the plate. ETA2: up to 11 now, my brother did a walk of the whole neighborhood past our street and found a couple more. Gross.

I can imagine it’s a glimmer of noise and power that kids might feel they’ve got over the adult world of guns, murder and Police against which they are powerless and potential losers in a lottery they decided to play only by going to school as they are compelled. As a parent it’s a constant thought and I don’t honestly know if I am coping with it healthily or just being gradually ground down. One half of the country is actively making it easier for people to get guns and unfortunately a non-significant number of this population are disturbed, vindictive and/or irrational and so every day this group of people manages to murder other people. Without access to firearms this predictably present section of societies usually just manages to hurt themselves or a few others. Not here.

I'm taking beginning salsa right now at Dance With Me. It's pretty fun. Couple other studios have latin dance too. I did tango for a long time at Step by Step. It's a drop in class on Sunday afternoons, no partner required.

Dance With Me on commercial has 2 step, swing, tap, and salsa. Plus they do classes sundays all summer for people who want to be in their big Thriller production on Halloween. Hellafun. I've never done it but I love watching it every year. Spooky fun.

Step by Step does 2 Step, line, ballroom, swing and tango.

Also Sonshine Ballroom has adult classes. I've taken classes at 2 of these and can confirm they're beginner friendly. Check out their websites if you want to know more.

Also, almost forgot. You'd have to Google it because I forget the name but there's a contra Dance group with weekly dances here. That's basically square dancing.

I’m not debating you. I’m sharing my perspective because that’s what you talked about- listening to other’s perspectives. The N-zis and the Holocaust are two different things. I think you’re struggling to understand the point…

The point is: They don’t think it’s a bad idea. Some people on the left believe authoritarian things are a “good idea”, and some people on the right believe this as well. I can show you examples. The parties are kind of useless. So yeah- there is no “other side” solution from your perspective.

I’m for the concepts of social freedom and basic human rights. I’m against the push for control over people’s rights. Other parts of politics (regarding economics specifically) are varied and do not always align with one party in my opinion. Ultimately, my point is that your defense of this party is not one you want to be affiliated with if you are against this rice propaganda.

Yes, thank you for catching that, I will explain. I heard this directly from a student at the school along with corroborating information provided by student parents in contact with school employees. The downside is the information could have originated from the same starting source. I have not been able to confirm the exact details of the original call through anyone with merit; however, I believed it to be important information to include in the main post to keep everyone informed.

I can identify gaslighting and fallacies of “reasonableness” and “facts” that paint only one side as the problem. I can also identify deflection when one turns questions back instead of considering them.

What I can’t identify is whether you see your own logical progression here?

The holocaust was your example.

So, if I may use your latest example again, “The right” absolutely agrees with those values. Exactly as much as “the left” does. As a bad idea.

And they all get condemned as a whole. Because they don’t disavow individuals praising nazis “the right way”.

You’re claiming to speak for millions as a “former conservative”. But then you claim those millions support the nazis because an “individual” did. And further, you put forth an argument that is distillable as “one side is the problem”.

Am I to infer that “the other side is the solution”?
