I spent a significant amount of my time after work today trying to find a good fps rpg. I'd play RAGE but don't want to download like 70 gb over my Hotspot

I did find another called elex I intend to try when I finish up my current games. You might check it out. Elex 2 has a good following

Fallout, bioschock, and borderlands, to me, seem like the best fps rpgs with a lot of polish but thats not a very important because I discovered today the genre is really, truly untapped in the way fallout presents it. Most shooter rpgs are 3rd person or isometric when paired with open world elements especially. This seems really weird to me because fps rpgs are not a new thing. System shock 2 comes to mind as a classic and one that inspired literally several genres or themes of games.

Seems like a fundamental difference is they believe in miracles and you don’t. People believe what they want to. It fits their narrative. It’s a damaging narrative and it’s only going to escalate from here.

Edited to add: the original post was about James River drumming up a media frenzy and my point was that’s not true. I’m not doing any spinning. You only know parts of the story.

Tbf I think first puberties boon ends for most at 25 and then there begins a subtle lifelong decline to the endocrine system starring around 25-30 that is exponentially worse and down regulated by 60 for most? It kind if makes sense, I think, that without modern medicine a lot of people would not he expected to live to a number such as 90. So 30 is at least ⅓ of the way there. I can kind of see why 36. Buy I'm just trying to come up with random justifications for the number idrk anything

If there was a Springfield New Vegas mod James River would be one of the main evil factions. Besides having a preexisting army of mindless drones, due to their stronghold of highway 65 they'd also control essential transport and communication from Branson, Little Rock, and ultimately the Gulf of Mexico. The northside freedom fighters (who cleaned up their meth-addled ways after realizing they were the only ones who could stand up to the murderous James River Inquisition and protect their womenfolk and babies) would be JR's major rival the only hope of a non-fundamentalist theocratic future for SW Missouri. Vote!

I kind of feel like selling desperate people a lie of curative magic through faith is morally wrong though. I remember reading about a baby whose teeth almost completely rotted out because the mom feared fluoride, dentists, and bought into new age conspiracy stuff.

There are many, many cases of people being sucked into things that mislead them because they are hurt and desperate for help. I think the fact they even fabricate lies like this is at least knowingly manipulative if not nefarious and reflects on their character. Do they think their congregation is stupid? Is this supposed to be some moral lesson about false prophets? Like how do you spin this type of behavior in a good light?

I don't think I've ever met one that was hateful tbh.

There was a very cool guy that cut my hair and did my, now faded highlights when started transition. You'd think he was gay (lisp and mannerisms and all that and catty) but he apparently has a wife and kids. He was very cool about it though. If I can find him I will message you.
