I’m from here, so I don’t find it that silly. I’ve always referred to my home state as the belt buckle of the Bible Belt, so no, it’s not weird to me at all. It’s mundanely expected, sadly.

Again, I'm not defending the process, but that's how it works, unfortunately. Taking years to build out a city's worth of fiber optics is a completely reasonable timeline.

I think most of us wanted to be early adopters but it's taken years to build out. We're what 2-3 years down the road and half the city still doesn't have it?

I would've loved to get this at $65/mo 2 years ago, but here I am still waiting and now I'll get the honor of paying $100/mo?

Honest question, is traffic really an issue many people face in town?

Like I get it if you're travelling home to Nixa at 5pm. But I've lived here many many years in all different parts of Springfield and I've never had to deal with more than 15 minutes by car.

Compared to major cities around us, STL KC, our traffic just isn't that bad, in my opinion.

Best comment here by far, and actually opened my eyes a bit. In my opinion you're probably right, only viable option I can think of is a Nixa to Springfield pipeline. Major stops at Cox, Mercy, MSU.

Hard comparison, I could ride my bike 4 miles at an old job in 20 minutes, or I could drive myself there and it take 15 minutes.

Riding a bike if you live and work in Springfield, is actually really efficient.

Avoid anything associated with Chris Gatley, New Vacancy, 417 Rentals. If you google his name, you'll see he's possibly the biggest slumlord in Missouri, definitely in the southwest region.
