Absolutely they should. There are already dorms, classrooms, etc. You could have people help take care of the property in exchange for living there to make the "gotta earn it" folks happy. There's already a huge homeless camp just down the road from there so what's the difference giving them better shelter and opportunities?

There's so much awful history at that school. Went there for 2.5 years. The buildings look awful because the leaders believed that the rapture would happen before 2000 so the buildings weren't designed to last much longer.

There was an enormous falling out in 2001 that gutted a huge % of the student population that it just never really recovered.

So many stories...

Just to clarify... Are you siding with Ann Kelley on this?

If you think he's wrong for referencing Martha Washington because "marriage has nothing to do with sexual orientation," then I gotta say- you have a very unpopular opinion. Like - I GUESS it technically doesn't have to reflect your orientation, but the VAST majority of people would prefer to be married to someone that they are sexually attracted to.

There is a reason why people all throughout history would frequently try to hide their homosexuality by getting heterosexual marriages - BECAUSE PEOPLE LIKE TO MARRY THE PEOPLE THEY WANT TO HAVE SEX WITH.

If it had nothing to do with sexual orientation, then it wouldn't be a very effective way of pretending your not gay, would it?

I feel like y'all have the right thing in mind, but aren't thinking about a flexible system. If a tram were functioning in a predictable pattern, folk could get to stations in order to move 20 mins down the street. Just because the current locations for transit don't make sense, due to folks in charge, that's not a reason to completely deny public transit.

For me to use mass transit it’s going to have to be faster than driving, cheaper than driving, and more convenient than driving. I think I have a plan to make a system that’s all three of those things. We’ll build a light-duty overhead monorail style track system that special light electric cars hook to from ground level and there will be entrance and exit points all over town. You just drive down Glenstone until you get to the Barataria entrance point, merge into the entrance lane, and seamlessly hook onto the system, and the motorized hook on the top of your car powers you down the track at 60mph. Each entrance only has one exit, and the Barataria entrance exits on Chestnut near Drury. It’s like teleportation portals.

The cars would be inexpensive and electric, designed for cross-town trips, and very small.
