Aromatic hexazine rings — [N₆]⁴⁻ — an all-nitrogen analogue of benzene, have finally been synthesized by researchers using high-pressure, laser-heated synthesis. The hexazine rings are present within a complex K₉N₅₆ structure containing [N₆]⁴⁻ and [N₅]⁻ rings as well as neutral nitrogen dimers.

A more mystical and insightful psychedelic drug experience may be linked to an enduring reduction in anxiety and depression symptoms, according to new research. The study is the first to characterize subtypes of the subjective psychedelic experience and link them to mental health outcomes.

Exposure to nature linked to lower risk of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. More green space was associated with a lower risk of Alzheimer's while exposure to greenery, park space and 'blue space' such as lakes, rivers & ponds, was associated with a decreased risk of Parkinson's hospitalisations.
