Do you have a bigger tongue? The checklist for sleep apnea is like, thicker neck, overweight, obstructed nasal passageway, bigger tongue. Doesn't have to be all of those either.

I had it for a long time before I went to get it checked out. In my case I check off everything on the list. It is better when I'm at a good weight, but because I check off everything else on the list I'm probably stuck with it.

I had my nose checked out, Doctor said one side was definitely constricted (slightly deviated septum), but he told me it wasn't bad enough that I'd ever get recommended for surgery.

The problem too is that, the clock might tell you you got 8 hours of sleep during the night, but with sleep apnea it's not solid sleep at all.

And yet obviously not:

The WHO concluded that there is no safe level for consumption of alcohol.

Highly recommend you see your Dr and ask about doing a sleep study. They'll be able to determine if you have a common sleep disorder like sleep apnea, or need to see someone else for further study. HIGHLY recommend!!

I guess this means you have never visited r/vegan? There are surprisingly many vegans that brag about their unhealthy diet. They keep repeating that they are not vegan for their health but for the animals.

So better to be a unhealthy non-vegan than a unhealthy vegan?

I would much rather see a study comparing a 100% plant-based diet to a wholefood diet which includes all food groups. Americans eat 57% ultra-processed foods, so almost any diet will be healthier than that. One exception being a vegan diet with the same amount of ultra-processed foods - as this study confirms..

No, I’ve stayed in shape my whole life but In 2017 I had a work related injury and many operations since and one still pending that will hopefully allow me to walk and balance properly. I eat right but I do love beer so if you’re not able to work it off you will gain weight. I’m able to bike and swim but weight training and treadmill are severely limited do to pain so I do what I can do. I’m currently six kilos overweight down from fifteen which most people think is completely fine but I don’t like carrying extra weight.
