Look for countries with good healthcare and a favorable exchange rate. I know a lot of foreigners come to Argentina to get procedures. Even our expensive private medicine is accessible to them due to the exchange rate difference.

Oh well, I'm sure after 2008 we learned and applied lessons to our stock market. Nothing to see here.

Health at any size is exactly what the study says! The healthy lifestyle changes created positive outcomes, even if the weight was gained back.
Heal at every size simply means that “health” and “healthy behaviors” are available to people no matter what their size is. You can be 400 pounds and start a workout routine, you can quit smoking, you can eat foods that make you feel nourished and good, you can go to a therapist and heal your eating disorder, you can meditate, you can practice self love, etc. And by focusing on things other than weight loss you can get to a healthier place without the psychological damage that focusing on only numbers on a scale can hace.
But everyone is different and everyone’s issues with food are different. Some people thrive on being bullied and proving people wrong, some people are very very hurt by that and it has the opposite effect. Health at every size provides a more gentle and holistic approach to working towards a healthier body. No matter what size that body is.

Have you read any books on “health at any size”? Do you know what it’s basic ideas are?

Reply to comment by prowlick in Vegan diets benefit health, but only if they're healthy. Study found a healthy vegan diet was linked to lower risk of heart disease, cancer and premature death, compared with non-vegan diets. N=125,000 by MistWeaver80
Hmm thanks for the context. The healthy vs. unhealthy vegan diet and "can a vegan diet be healthy at all?" questions do actually seem like worthwhile ones to me.
It's just confusing that the post title and the authors' recommendation of vegan over non-vegan diets point to that comparison of vegan vs. non vegan, which is completely different. They (authors and OP) really shouldn't do that.

Yes!! I know a developmental pediatrician. She says it’s her SOP to order a sleep study when a child presents with ADHD symptoms. When they’re young, CPAPs are not a good idea (the whole “skull not being solidified yet” issue. When the interventions like tonsils and adenoids removed improve the OSA, the ADHD symptoms can improve a lot too.

Reply to Research found after six years spent tracking health outcomes among nearly 925,000 Danish seniors, investigators determined that when a man between the ages of 65 and 69 loses his wife he is 70% more likely to die in the year that follows, when compared with his non-widowed peers by Wagamaga

I get the feeling the research question might have been more like “do the data suggest vegan diets can be healthy compared to the standard american diet/common diets?” rather than “are vegan diets superior to other diets?” since a lot of people are still convinced it’s impossible for vegans to be healthy.
Edit: I went to the original study linked within the link and the stated purpose was “To examine whether healthful vs unhealthful plant-based dietary patterns are associated with mortality and major chronic diseases among UK adults.” So it’s just healthy vegan vs unhealthy vegan, not healthy vegan vs all other diets. Seems…a bit…redundant, but okay.

Sertraline.
I feel like it's most beneficial during that initial period when it kicks in. I've gone off and on it several times; additionally, alcohol seems to stop it working.
If they could somehow harness that consistently, it would be amazing.

I've never been able to breathe through my nose properly. It feels laboured but my ENT says it's just inflammation and small passages and if it bothers me, I have to be on a several year wait list for surgery, but not something that should be a problem. It definitely is a problem.

Damn. I'm sorry to hear that. I don't blame you one bit though, in my first 2 years I went through half a dozen doctors and got nowhere, so I've just about quit too.

>Although this type of study cannot show a healthy vegan diet actually caused the improvements in health outcomes, the authors recommend people concerned about chronic disease adopt a plant-based diet that's low in animal products, sugary drinks, snacks and desserts, refined grains, potatoes, and fruit juices.
?
Also a bit of a cheat to compare specifically healthy vegan diets to all other diets, rather than to specifically healthy diets that include animal products, right?
