Even if they are solar ready a lot of HOAs are against them because they think they are ugly.

I got the shotgun, you got the tumor-injectable bacteria. All in the game though

Similar to this, though I've also read of proposals to release dyes in the polar gyre to reduce reflectivity.
Light isn't a limiting factor for most marine biomes that rely on photosynthesis.

Changing water’s reflectivity would be suicide - a suicide that we’re already attempting by bathing with oily UV-reflective sun tan lotion all over ourselves, that then blocks the needed UV light from underwater plants, eliminating entire habitats.

According to the research on statins it is known that they only add months to a person’s overall life. Am aware of 3 cases where statins (two were Crestor) were the cause of extremely severe body weakness, including one where patient had to be intubated. Find better ways to control cholesterol than these medications.

Absolutely wonderful breakthru.
Tho when I did the testing, it was called pharmagenomics.
Im a pretty self aware person, so this test verified what I had mostly figured out for myself over my lifetime as to what drugs i could or couldn’t take. My family’s problems with anesthesia & pain meds, specifically.
Im sure it was wildly expensive, but my Dr somehow got it cleared and Im about to try & get it run for my son, who has some ailments that they’re having a terrible time finding drugs that don’t have severe side effects for him. This is the future and one of the biggest advances no one is talking about.

I haven’t done it, but I’m a member and everything they’ve said and told me about about anxiety, how it works, how it affects us, how to cure it, etc. makes perfect sense and is totally right. They just aren’t very big and can’t reach everyone around the world that needs help. I really want everyone to know about it, to know the truth, to know that that they don’t have to suffer, to get the help they need to recover from this awful condition and live fulfilling lives free from pain.

I am not saying every roof needs it, but many roofs can add it, as well as city buildings, big box stores...etc

Just some considerations for conversation -
- Applications to increase waters reflectivity and prevent the penetration of some wavelengths have been considered to reduce solar absorbance, to reduce heating.
- The square footage at hand here is vanishingly small compared to the square footage of the ocean. You could easily just put these out to sea over deadzones, where ecosystems aren't reliant on light anyway.

Parking lots for damn sure. The others come with some complications.
Most houses are still not required to be built solar-ready. Solar installations add thousands of pounds a typical roof isn’t engineered to carry on top of the snow load. Deserts seem like a good place aside from the weathering they’d probably see from all the bloody sand.
Main take away is that we aren’t doing enough.

water quality could decrease. light is important for a bunch of stuff. but a balance could be found.

I'll definitely supplement. I just meant adding. Since I titrate a few things already. I found a process on how to extract the oil already. I would assume the oil is close to 100% after extraction. But to confirm how does one test something like that? Any idea?

Could be super effective if they’re designed with multiple benefits in mind. I feel like I’ve read about mussels farmed from dangling ropes on fixed and floating infrastructure somewhere…

I don't sorry. It was honestly like ten years ago and it was an anecdotal account that seemed interesting but not significant at the time.

I don't know that you'll be able to get anywhere close to 1.8g of R-ALA without supplementing.
I don't remember the three dosage levels that they tested but it was probably factors of two. If that's true, then the lowest dosage was 450mg a day, divided into three doses. And that wasn't as successful as higher doses.

You vastly over estimate how much surface area it would take to generate the power we need.
That being said, we should be adding solar to all kinds of places. Roof tops, above parking lots, deserts...and so on.
