hahah. Parking on that side is shitty (note perfect) for TJ parking craziness. Between the people getting Five Guys, ladies returning DSW, and all the Old Navy sales. Yeap. Perfect. I'm actually getting 'nam flashbacks of my WeHo TJ's.

That sounds horrible. To protect others - DPoR would love to hear your story. They're a regulatory agency, so they're not going to charge you like a lawyer would. Contracting without a license is a big deal, and they'll hit him with some pretty big fines. I'm really glad you got your money back, but if this ever happens again, they can probably help you.

The Virginia SCC may also be interested in him conducting business under an expired LLC (I assume that's what you mean by business license).

You cannot.

Edit: It appears for the moment .3% delta 8, 9, and 10 are legal. They're going to be severely restricted with the coming legislation changes.

So I live very near 3 chopt, In a neighborhood between that and Patterson. The last like week ago I think, we've been hearing an owl super loudly during the night/morning at various times. So loud in fact that, to me, it sounded like it was coming from inside my house. My partner heard it and thought it was a person outside our house pretending to make owl noises because 1) it was that loud and 2) it almost sounded comically cartoony. Like an over the top owl noise.

Needless to say, I've been looking for it but never seen it. I wonder if this is that owl? Or maybe it's mate or something?

How much was the job total? Reason I ask is because one dead giveaway that you should not do business with a contractor is if they need a downpayment to buy materials and equipment. Any reliable contractor is going to have a credit account with their suppliers and typically won’t ask for more than 10%, which is just a gesture to show you’re committed. The only exception is large projects with multiple phases.

NC native here, I’m also a UNC alum and duke named their business school the Fuqua school of business. The interactions I’ve had with their alums has led me to call it the fuckwad school of business instead.

In NC, there’s also a town called Fuquay-Varina. Pronounced “few-qway va-ree-nuh” but it makes you feel like you’re saying something dirty every time
