If this was written as the person asked for the service provider then yes, also 72 hours seems like a long ass time.

He was asked it and was "non selective herbicide" and he told the families and children that it was for the "weeds"

Ha, I have friends that just moved down from Nova that were there this weekend and they raved about it.

I made a sizeable reservation for the park that same night and called ahead to verify we would have an option to move inside if (when) the rain came down and the hostess confirmed with the manager we were covered. We ended up at another spot knowing the scenario would play out the way you described. Felt good sitting at that alternative spot enjoying wine when I got the text that they were unlikely to accommodate us based on the developing situation.

This is one of worst places to rent on the east coast, empirically. Ready Matthew Desmond's book "Evicted" for more context.

That looks like fresh dirt he’s spraying so this is the most likely explanation. And this is the perfect time to try to grow new grass before the serious heat and sun begins.

To be fair it does accurately foretells the fate of most Richmond pedestrians.

"This bill violates the fundamental rights of property owners" - Youngkin
Veto 2 - HB 1536, sponsored by Del. Clinton Jenkins, D-Suffolk, requires the Department of Human Resource Management to update the Grievance Procedure Manual to require the Office of Employment Dispute Resolution to review and issue a written decision when a party fails to comply with the grievance procedures. This bill passed unanimously.
Veto 3 The third bill, SB 1085, sponsored by state Sen Adam Ebbin, D-Alexandria would direct the State Police to convene a work group to look at the issue of vehicle noise. This bill passed with margins well above two-thirds. Youngkin said the bill is unnecessary because the General Assembly made it a primary offense -- that is, sufficient reason for a traffic stop and ticket -- to drive a vehicle with an exhaust system that's not in good working order.
. . .
Youngkin also sent 78 bills bills back for amendments or technical changes.

That was my thinking as well. Even without the pedestals I think local art / sculpture would be awesome. Rotate them out every couple of years

I second this! When I needed immediate help in NoVa, I went to the inpatient clinic at the hospital where they were able to do an assessment as well as get me an appointment with a psychiatrist quickly. Otherwise the wait for therapy was well over 2 months long.

Yesssss. I drive a Corolla and it is literally impossible to see anything when you try to pull out onto a street in this city because there's a Chevy suburban pulled up to the edge of the curb on one side and an f-250 on the other

I will forever contend that these don't work on cary in particular because of poor sight lines. As a person who drives a small car, I can't see past the giant SUVs parked on both sides of the street, or the ones driving in front of, behind me, and to my immediate side. Between weaving between vehicles that are double parked with their flashers on, pedestrians using crosswalks, pedestrians crossing without crosswalks, people parallel parking, vehicles pulling out from side streets, etc, it's very difficult to spot somebody waiting to cross.
If you're in one lane with a vehicle in the other lane slightly ahead of you, you can't see somebody waiting to cross at all.

Might get hate for this but all the former monument areas are a huge eyesore. They should at least put some plants/trees in there place. Better yet kept the pedestals and put different Richmond art on top.
blasticalballs t1_je64fir wrote
Yeah, it’s a safety hazard. Which means the city already knows and has decided not to take action. Gotta kill someone first then they would take action unfortunately. Doubt a fender bender would do it.

They need lights and overhead walkways. That literally would eliminate these problems. They also need to stop letting cars park ALL THE WAY up to the corner where it makes it impossible to see when you want to go straight or make a turn
