Yep, done all that, Kennedy is nice when I really feel like hurting myself a bit :D

I'd give my left something or other for a fire road climb to the top of white rock(something Pisgah and the whole Asheville/Brevard area has figured out).

Have you done Torrey to Slacks to White Rock Gap at Sherando? It lasts quite a bit longer that way. Sometimes I take Kennedy Ridge or Mill Creek (the infamous 7 switchbacks) to the top, but the easiest way is up White Rock, Right on the Blue Ridge Parkway for a few miles, then right on Bald Mtn Jeep Trail to the Torrey Ridge Trailhead.

I'm headed to Pisgah for spring break on Saturday, can't wait!

It’s super cool stuff. They just did a crash analysis webinar of a recent fatal incident near Monroe Park. I posted it in r/vcu. They review a lot of relevant surrounding issues in Richmond’s transportation system, and obviously pick apart the car-centric design of the streets that surround the park.

Scott’s Addition is a great area to ride through. To walk I like leaving from Rocketts and heading to the Canal Walk. Deep Run Park is great too, with the bonus of playgrounds.

Down in Chesterfield Harry G Daniel park is really good too for stops and gyms, shorter trails than deep run and more level ground if you have a bad back and knees like me.

Thanks for that explanation. I looked up what the CDC recommends for Glyphosate, and it's clearly stated in bold "Do not let kids or pets play on or touch areas where weed killer has been applied until 24 hours have passed." Regardless of the downvotes, I stand by my comment that I'd be upset if I had kids unknowingly playing in that playground today.

They are a massive safety feature on highways for sure and used significantly throughout the nation - which is why i've always wondered why we dont use them more. I feel like they are probably one of the most efficient driver alert/behavior modification systems out there. Efficient by cost to install, maintain, not as divisive as speed bumps, dont impact certain vehicles like snow plows or other vehicles, and it wont damage your car if you accidentally dont see it or take it too fast (we've all been there).
