I have found libraries incredibly eager for items like this, call the front desk of your local branch directly.

That’s dumb. Just mow and leave the weeds alone. Dandelions and clovers are underrated

Used Diamond Direct back in the day. No complaints.

The city prefers expensive solutions that dont actually solve the problem.
This way, they can pay someone to go around and re-do them constantly.

LOL this happened to me too. I showed up with a group of like 8 and the place was quite literally almost empty. They were so mad we didn't have a reservation and made a big fuss about it. It seems like they don't want the business haha

Freecycle is a good site, and they have it in most major cities!

The sovereignty of Milf Island and the power I draw from her are unimpeachable.

They use it all the time at schools and public parks. So frustrating.

Certain places down there tend to get their liquor licenses suspended or revoked for what happens at or peripherally to their establishment, i.e. violence assumed to be related to over serving. It's also assumed that younger clients are the main offenders of such actions. To try to prevent that, you have armed guards, age limits, and strict dress policies.

The real answer needs to come from drivers. They should make the driving test harder each year until the driving population is reduced by 20% but this conflicts with the whole "driving is a right" crowd. Plenty of places have pedestrian safety without millions of dollars of extra pedestrian infrastructure.

Brambly Park should be perfect for big groups inside or out, but every time I have gone, either for an event my group planned or something planned by someone else, there's a logistical screw up. They can't figure out their own QR system ordering, they've applied payments to the wrong tab, can't find where they were going to seat us, etc etc etc.
I'm in an affiliate group with VCU, and believe me any time anybody brings up holding an event there when I'm around I try my hardest to shut that down.

The one off rowland was tagged within 24hrs of it being installed and then run over 48 hours later. I laughed when I saw them putting them up in the first place. It’ll never change

Reply to How long has the Lee Monument Circle been fenced off? by pecansforall
Jan 2021. Here was the official announcement: https://dgs.virginia.gov/globalassets/business-units/do/documents/newsroom/dgs-to-install-fence-around-lee-monument-to-prepare-site-for-statue-removal.pdf
> The Department of General Services today will install fencing around the Lee Monument grounds to ensure the safety of visitors and workers as part of DGS’s plan to prepare the site for the removal of the Lee statue. As we await the resolution of legal challenges that have delayed the statue’s removal, DGS wants to be prepared to act quickly upon a final determination. The fencing is not intended to be permanent.
So ya it's there so they can act quickly to take down the statue...
