I just did this this past weekend. I have family in Richmond, so we stay there overnight and make the trip into DC. We drive to the Franconia Springfield metro station, park for the day and take the Metro in.

The cherry blossoms were nice (this past weekend was peak for them), but there's still tons of people, especially near the museums. It was difficult to even walk through the sidewalks because there were so many people. I would not recommend driving in DC ever. I wouldn't even say it's worth it with the metro with a 2 year old.

Edit: forgot to mention that it's absolute shit trying to find somewhere to eat. The wait times for the wharf restaurants are 2+ hours, so you HAVE to make a reservation days in advance.

No, I replied to the intended one, where you mention no one is taking you up on your offer.

Again, if you remove housing from the market for people to make their own, to offer on a temporary basis to make yourself feel better, you're not being as helpful as you think you are.

Ramadan Mubarak 🤝🏽

You replied to the wrong message and you are spreading the wrong message. Focus on the facts brother, I house people who need help and you attack people who you disagree with online. Stay blessed in this holy month of Ramadan my brother 🙏🏽

A good thick picnic blanket thing from Amazon. It keeps the wet grass away from you, and make sure you have a wine opener :) it's not camping so I keep it verrrrrrry simple.

Bring my soft side cooler, couple red solo cups, cheese, crackers, salami, and picnic blanket.

The only way an owner can give a notice that's legally "proper" is if the end of lease is coming up anyway and they're informing you that they won't be renewing with you. Otherwise they have to go through eviction proceedings because being under a lease protects the tenant from being removed any other way.

you don't here about the good ones. Saying they are all like that gives cover to Dobrin, Pollard & bagby/Walid Daniels, and Evernest.

If you follow this sub, I think there is no doubt those are the top 3.

Just did this this weekend with our 3 year old. Absolutely train it. We did train to Union Station and then took the metro to the Smithsonian stop. So we had a short but scenic walk. If you can go on a weekday, it'd probably be even better. Also the little refreshment kiosk has way better food/drink prices than the food trucks. Maybe bring a picnic blanket/towel to sit on while you eat because there are not many seats at all.

I do think technically peak bloom was this weekend but I'm sure it still looks nice!

Thank you!! My retainer hurts but that’s supposed to subside in a few days . I am now doing the 3 months of 16 hrs and then will hopefully be night time only. I also made the investment as an adult and am so happy with the results .
