True, but there are hundreds of other license holders that figure it all out. Also they were supposed to renew by December 1st, so all these places are over three months late.

Agreed on PARL, they’re wonderful! My dog was an owner surrender there 7 1/2 years ago because the previous owner couldn’t take care of him, and the person brought his previous veterinary records and was able to tell them about his behavior and needs so they could match him with the right family. It was really helpful for getting him settled in when he came home.

Providence Animal Rescue League has a non-judgmental open surrender policy and they work very hard to find the best homes for animals with much success! I know this is a hard thing to go through from experience, but please consider going through them or another local rescue.
