This gave me a wave of nostalgia remembering listening to modest Mouse in high school and being hella angsty. Good times. The fruit that ate itself is a good album and I’m glad to have the same taste in music as a demon lol

It sounds like you would've been safe if the bus driver was the one whose life they took. Maybe depending on the age of the driver...
Stay safe on public transit.

I wonder if the biologist that had worked at the park, the redhead that was friends with Alex and Crystal, was Stan’s ex. I know it’s so unlikely, but….. it feels like it would make sense. Somehow. Because the world really is a large place but also a small place.

The yarn always knows when you need a second. It seems at first like it has a mind of its own, and is out to run away, but it's trying to tell you something. Usually it's "you need more slack on the line," but sometimes it's "you dropped this other thing," or "look, LISTEN!" Sounds like that elderly man knows his craft. Sadly, all mine have been calling about my car's extended warranty...

Don't SELL the house
Burn the house to the ground. Fill the basement hole with steel-powdered concrete. Keep the land empty. Make a will that the land is to be an empty lot forever.

Yeah says nothing about her doing it in the house. And mercury seems to think that him killing himself in the house will save his sons.

I'm assuming the wife did it because of what she saw, not necessarily the spirit telling her to

I've never had any supernatural experiences but had some funny and interesting conversations with people. What else can you do in a dark room? Arguably my favorite classes that I took in college. Now I just remembered burning and dodging.
I still love photography, but it's all DSLR. Keep on writing!

Reply to comment by fugensnot in All buses in Beijing deserve an old man who knits by Mountain_Log5316
I also thought of this, but perhaps what the old man feared was the three would follow her when she got off at a stop and thus fulfil the condition of being alone with her.
It's sad that the bus driver had to die, I wonder whether he could have been saved too if all three of them had managed to get off together. But I get that the old man was probably too scared and didn't think the bus driver would believe him anyway. Also probably didn't want to test the 'alone' thing enough to risk the men realising he was on to them.
