But what if you'd never come along? You had the boldness and curiosity as a child to go there in the first place, and as an adult, as haunted as you've been, you still had the strength to come back and face it, and to acknowledge that what you were seeing was real. If it weren't for you, no one would ever have known. That spot could be back in use today. The dead would never have been laid to rest, and more lives could have been lost. I know the last thing you feel like is a hero, but you are.
