I think that he was trying to show me that every time you trust someone, it's a leap of faith. I had chances to speak up about Rajat, but I stayed quiet. I was so used to turtling up. I was safe, but I never gave myself the chance to do anything but stay the same.

just curious though, I wonder who he thought Dylan would have been able to tell safely, before he arrived. the sheriff, his parents, another adult, even when Rohan first approached him how could he trust that it wouldn't make things worse y'know

This was a relatively happy ending considering the hell you've been going through. I'm glad it turned out so well and you even got a few good life lessons out of it. As you'll continue to learn as you grow up, real life isn't like school. In school, you get the lesson first and then you take the test. In real life though, you get the test first and the lesson comes after
