I'm on 100 howe street - right by you. I don't have any opinion on that building other than it has pretty affordable rent I've seen, majority of your tenants are Yale students and pan handlers will bother you sometimes. Howe st is mostly fine just minor annoyances I've had.

I hate to be a dick but shell and bones missed the mark both times we went. I wanted to like it so much. First time the pasta I got was so overdone it was mush. Then we went with husbands family. Was meh.
ETA grammar

Are you at 70 Howe? I’m looking at units there right now, can you message me/tell me anything I should know before going forward with a lease. It seemed really nice.

It's fantastic! I went in the Fall. There is really nice seating along the deck and also inside. The food was fantastic, really well executed very much a high end farm/sea to table!

How is it? Tavern on State is good but that spot on Front Street has had a lot of turnover.

Yes. Or Shell and Bones. Do not fall for Florian which seems so conveniently located downtown. They use poor quality ingredients. Don't let the decor fool you. Trash.

Reply to Did anyone move to New Haven after going to college in Boston & how was your transition? by bioluminescent-bean
Moved here from Somerville, but I was older (early 30s). It was a smooth transition. New Haven has a lot of what a bigger city offers - dining, nightlife, culture - in a smaller, more affordable, and easily accessible package. Architecturally, it’s quite beautiful in some neighborhoods like East Rock and Wooster Square.

New Haven simply isn’t going to feel as big as Boston.
There is a great deal in the way of restaurants, museum, and there is a wonderful art scene, but they exist on the scale of a small city.
Spring break, summer, and winter break will see the city empty out quite a bit since Yale kids leave.

If worse comes to worse I would think maybe one of the big rest area’s off one of the highway’s may have CT themed stuff/postcards.
