Wait till you hear about sales/ property/ gas taxes

Some of the schools give out bus passes, I know Southern CT State used to at the beginning of the semester. Not sure if it’s a state school only thing to do. I think there are some companies that offer commuting benefits, but don’t quote me on that.

I checked Wrench out and a good price but no mechanics in New Haven, can put Derby but no appointments showing. Oh well as was about $90 less than my mechanic.

I never said I can’t afford a bus pass, I’ve just been slacking on getting a car because the bus is free, once I have to start paying I might as well get a car and put that money towards gas instead of giving it to the city/state.

You can pay on the bus, it’s $1.75 exact change. Bus does not make change. You can buy multi ride or monthly passes at stop and shops or the customer service centers in downtown New Haven, Hartford or Stamford. Or sign up for the GoCT card online As far as I know, the governor is not extending it again, but who knows what he’s gonna do. He said that last time and still extended it. I’m a bus driver in New Haven and we never know until the day comes or the day before!

you can also buy paper passes. there are weekly and monthly options, but i usually go with a 10-ride ticket because i am a regular, but infrequent bus user. with the 10-ride option, you just have to request a transfer if you plan on taking more than one bus.

i know they sell them at stop&shop, but i usually just buy 'em at the info stand downtown.

They’re pretty good but I wouldn’t say they’re around New Haven.

Did their chicken strips change to something awful like the Fairfield location? Their strips are closer to badly coated KFC tenders at this point.

Idk I moved from south Florida, traffic in CT is nowhere near traffic in south Florida, compared to what you are used to, you will find it a breeze

It is true that you will likely have to drive through New Haven on 95 to and from Branford or Hamden. This will slow you a bit especially during normal "rush hour," but, as others have said, this isn't horrific. I personally can't stand Rte 15/Merritt, but that's probably because I got stuck once for hours when a 13' tractor-trailer tried to go under a 12' bridge. If you are coming from a place with bad traffic, then New Haven shouldn't be too painful. I go to the VA from Milford (avoiding NH) and it is a relative breeze. Depends on where in Hamden you can go Ella T Grasso to RT 10 or Forest Rd to RT 15 and avoid 95.

Side street wings are very underrated.

The trip back home will take an extra 15 minutes, morning traffic isn't bad until you get off 95 at 1st street.

Because the cost or because the buses wont run close to schedule anymore?

Second new west. They serve wings really late too. Delaneys has great wings as well. Both are way better than Archie moores

I moved away from New Haven 16 years ago, and both am a foodie and am married to a foodie, and Southern Wings is probably on the top 5 restaurants I miss most, possibly even top 3.
