The same five conversations about the same five Gyllenhaal or Vileneuve movies (double bonus points for Prisoners).
Main promotional poster: "floating heads suck! They don't make me want to see this movie"
Secondary promotional poster that won't be in any actual cinemas: "now this is art! Notice the lack of floating heads? Those suck"

Reply to Rocky Horror or Phantom of the Paradise? by l00ky_here
For me it‘s Rocky Horror Picture Show. While Phantom of the Paradise has the best song overall („Special to me“, sung by Jessica Harper), Rocky just makes more fun, both in soundtrack and movie. But thats just my two cents!

Could be just a plot line from the main movie that they mostly finished but decided to cut out. Then they just have to do some touch ups and maybe add in a few more scenes and they’re done

Legend has it that they had to keep reducing the number of Connery's Russian lines, and that Alec Baldwin can still recite his Russian lines to this day.

John Wick is a great action movie. Fury Road is a nearly perfect movie of any genre.

There’s two motifs within the soundtrack. There’s the typical orchestral score that is more traditional, and the thundering, ominous electric organ sound that punctuates specific parts of the movie. I assume what you’re referring to is the latter.
It’s not meant to be a moving, emotional piece. It’s a raw, guttural reaction. It’s all together foreboding, terrifying, and resonant. It definitely took me by surprise the first time I heard it, but as the film progressed it ended up being almost like a callback of sorts. Like you’d almost forget about it, then the organ would hit and you’d immediately be taken back to that feeling of dread.
I really appreciated a totally different approach to scoring a war epic, and it’s one of the most memorable aspects of the film in my opinion.

Reply to James Gray To Direct ‘Ezekiel Moss’ At Focus - The film is a Depression-era ghost story about a young, imaginative boy living in a small town who befriends a mysterious drifter who may or may not have the supernatural ability to communicate with the dead. by rageofthegods
I love James Gray's Little Odessa & Ad Astra, so I hope Ezekiel Moss turns out better than Armageddon Time.

I'm wanting to watch the damn thing, but my iTunes says it won't be available to rent until NOVEMBER. I'll forget it even exists by then.

Probably because more often than not the actor isn’t a native speaker so it makes more sense to just have the lines in English. The most egregious example of this is characters speaking Spanish in American movies, they often use direct translations or don’t pronounce correctly if the actor isn’t a native speaker.
Anyway, this is what I enjoy a lot about movies like Inglorious Basterds. There are two prominent scenes about the characters’ cover being blown because their non-native accent was recognized.

Chuck Norris did ok for himself and he's probably the most average looking person ever. His beard had always been a joke, he's essentially a woodshop teacher from the 70s.
Jackie Chan? Hasn't looked tough for a day in his life.... so I think you're "reasoning" leaves more than a little to be desired.

If you found Parasite disappointing, that seems very much like a problem with you and how you manage expectations. I had none for Parasite, and I adored that movie. Similar experience for Everything Everywhere All At Once.
Don't expect anything except to be entertained, and you will find so much more to love in the world of entertainment.
