I'm calling it. The mods will delete this post. They can't stand criticisms of this sub.
I'm going to say gushing over John Carpenter's movies. Some people think every movie he made was a masterpiece. Seriously, In the Mouth of Madness was a good movie? No it wasn't, people.

It took me 5 attempts to watch that movie end to end...

I said that because you purposefully misconstrued my question to make your own point. And now you've been arguing a movie where you can't see or hear anything would be "good" by some measure. I don't think you actually believe that so I'm not going to engage with this anymore.

Oh that's a shame. I love the graphic novel that was made telling this story, and assumed this would at least cover everything that did, it's an amazing story.

Reply to Why do so few American movies let foreign language speaking characters speak their own language? Why does everything have to be in English... by _wyfern_
Unfortunately a lot of people I know, my wife, sister, dad, cousins and a few other friends in my life do not like reading subtitles and they will shit on movies that are dubbed because it looks and sounds cheap. I am in a completely different league and have come to enjoy a lot of foreign films over American ones. Particularly in the horror genre but others as well

Hating a movie for showing racism or sexism even though the entire point of the movie is that the racism or sexism is wrong. Then getting torn apart in the comments for being a moron.

He can probably do indies for 5yrs, then slowly creep back in. Like Jason Mitchell is in the process of doing.

How would COVID compliance be more expensive? Its a mask and a cheap PCR test.

How did the bad guys know that Sully had left the forest and to go looking for them?
Why did the water tribe abandon Sully and family half way through the big fight, and just reappear and the end to tell them that they are family now?
How many times did the kids get kidnapped and yet left in an unsecured location by supposedly badass military people?
What happened to the bad guys going native like they said they were going to do at the beginning?
And it's pretty much a rehash of the first movie, just in a water setting.
Also, they talk about needing to pacify the locals so humans can settle Pandora because Earth is dying. Why would you settle a planet/moon that had an atmosphere so toxic it renders you unconscious in seconds?
Stunning film, but more of a David Attenborough nature documentary than a coherent story. Enjoyable though.

I saw the movie and I can tell you that you ain’t missing out on much - it’s just one of those movies that critics and movie snobs love to fellate each other over because they think it’s so deep and they’re the only ones who can get it but it’s just way too cluttered

Especially amazing considering it was directed by a 70 year old (whose last few movies included Happy Feet and Babe: Pig in the City)!

I watched it in the cinema and never watched it after because to watch it i have to plow trough the last Jedi and rise of the skywalker. I can redo Force awakens because I'm a sucker for some cheesy fan service but the later two are garbage.
