It's kind of funny we get a backstory for Poe literally in the last movie

Okay, we don’t care, I think the John Wick movies are pretty overrated but people like them so I don’t give a shit. Stop complaining about what other people like, it is just embarrassing

Yeah I'm really curious to see the format of the movie and how it will all be covered.

I re-watched that a couple of months ago. It's pretty good. It looks incredible in parts too. Ridley Scott can be awesome visually

Reply to Cynthia Rothrock was the best Martial Arts female movie star and yet she almost never gets any credit by Lili_Danube
> I don't buy into the excuse that she was a bad actress because the majority isn't good either. I mean, Jean Claude Van Damme was hardly good. And I don't think Jet Li was great either. But they are given credit for their fight scenes.
For me, it was never about the acting with these types. It was about on-screen presence. Van Damme and Jet Li aren't such great actors, but they sell a larger than life image when they're on screen. I never really got that from Rothrock. She has the moves, but lacks the charisma.

That’s really great to hear! All I knew was that they had consulted the Osage and that a lot of the extras were Osage. It’s great to hear how meticulous they were and it gives me a lot of hope for the movie!

I live in Tulsa. I was a background actor and drove to Pawhuska every morning for about three weeks. It was one of the best experiences of my life.
You could tell how seriously they were taking the story. I saw Marty talking with Osage consultants regularly. They were meticulous about our costumes and props being period-specific. (I couldn't even wear my rose gold wedding ring, which I seriously doubt would have been visible on-screen.) The main actors were kind. Producer and 1st AD Adam Somner was fantastic in how he ran the show. The vibe was infectious in general, and Marty's obvious love for cinema and dedication to telling this story rubbed off on everyone.
I am not Osage, but I'd estimate about a third or more of the extras were. Everyone was respectful and reverent of the story they were trying to tell. It was an electric environment to be a part of. Maybe all movie sets are like that, but it felt to me like we were making something special... or at least attempting to.

I wouldn't say Se7en specifically, but neo-noir films in general

I didn't like it at all but it was critically praised at the time of release. I love Burt Lancaster but he plays a total dope in the film

I loved Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, however rewatching it, I don’t get the same enjoyment. I still love the movie, I just don’t think a rewatch will ever replicate what I felt when I watched it the first time

Yep, the tension around this seen is far better in the theatrical version.
In general the theatrical versions are probably the better movies, but I’ll never go back to them because I want to spend as many hours as possible in Middle Earth.

I love this movie, it is a lot esp the first time...but the joy I felt in the ending I could really identify with that struggle

Was also a cover up by all state and local parties until the feds were basically forced to get involved. At which point they prosecuted a couple of high profile people for maybe 5% of the crimes those people were known to have committed and put up the "Mission Accomplished" banners.

Often times those movies leave tons of little nuggets along the way that land completely differently once you know the outcome. Sometimes it's almost like watching an entirely different movie.

The casting of this movie was amazing, except for Julia. Robin and Dustin just inhabited their characters perfectly. Julia, at best, was "Julia Roberts pretending to be a character no one explained to her."

I think action movies have actually gotten better plot wise.
