Until 65, the Jurassic Park franchise owned the dinosaur movie.

Pirates! The great claymation movie was a huge success. Of course any "serious" movie would automatically be compared to the hit TV series "Black Sails" and any comedy to that one with the guy from Flight of the Conchords.

Reply to Junji Ito’s Horror Manga ‘Bloodsucking Darkness’ Getting Live-Action Adaptation (EXCLUSIVE) by Old_Faithlessness588
It’ll be really hard to do the manga justice. Half the reason the manga’s are so scary is Junji Ito’s illustrations.

I love the scene where the two agents visit her at her house. That whole sequence is brilliant.

What about the Captain Phillips movie?

Now, I agree that it is weird that there are not more. Someone somewhere should be doing a (new) Sandokan movie series.

Oh… then I’m totally fine with him yelling at him and getting into a fight
DP and lead actor are essential peers on the set; I thought Bale yelled at some underlying

It was the DP (Shane Hurlburt), but you are right, he was fucking with the lighting during the scene.

Reply to What actor had the greatest opening one-two punch debut in film history? by bolshevik_rattlehead
Edward Norton debuted with Primal Fear - then had roles with Woody Allen and in The People v. Larry Flynt - followed right thereafter by American History X, Rounders, and Fight Club. Pretty much an impeccable run.

Reply to Movie Recommendation! by fewbelrambling
Coherence, Funny Games, Green Room, Misery, The Thing, and The Lighthouse are all good single location horror/thrillers that come to mind.
mother! is a cerebral and artistic horror film that all takes place in a singular house. This one isn’t for everyone though, as it’s very metaphorical and disturbing.
Less horror and more thriller but Locke is a phenomenal one-location film as well
