I found him so off putting I had to Google if he was on drugs on set or what. Especially the scenes that happen before the film’s central tragedy. He’s all over the place and mumbly and the timing of his delivery is weird as shit.

So you don’t consider the first Bourne a real Bourne movie? That’s uh pretty weird.

Watch him in, Light of my Life. He’s just as good in that one.

If you haven’t seen it, I love his performance in The Assassination of Jesse James By the Coward Robert Ford

When he is identifying his brother at the morgue, I always watch his hands.

I'm with you on this. All my friends seem to love kids movies. For me they are fine to watch with my kid, but I would never want to watch them alone. They are just watered down versions of movies with very tame themes and jokes meant to appeal to both children and sometimes adults. I just can't fathom how you could get really into them. The latest Star Wars and Avengers are basically becoming kids movies as well and I just find them insanely boring. They don't need to be dark but I much prefer when they are written for an adult audience and have complex themes.

One of the most emotional films I’ve ever seen. Had me in tears.

That one scene where they run into each other on the street… cuts right through me everytime
If you’ve never seen Wendy & Lucy a bit more substantial Michelle Williams role

tbh it feels very sorkin, specifically. like i can picture him typing THE END in his word doc and then shaking his head and going "all that... for a girl"

Can’t wait for Next Goal Wins either, was supposed to come out in 2021 but got reshot due to the Armie Hammer scandal

I don't agree that they got better. They progressively lost that rawness and authenticity of the first movie.

Reply to If your funeral was to be a movie session, what movie would you choose to play and why? by Charming-Party-7598
My two choices are either
The Fountain. Beautifully shot and while the story of a man learning to accept the death of a loved one might be obvious, a funeral isn't really the place for subtlety.
Fantastic Mr Fox. One of my personal favorites and the it's the type of humor my family enjoys. I like the idea of being sent off after laughing together one more time.

Edit : Also Michelle Williams is excellent in the few scenes she gets in the film.

Luc Besson dated and later married a 15 year old girl. Kinda hard to seperate that from his movies.
