I actually thought the movie made a pretty good case that he didn’t steal the idea.

He had been in movies, yes, but the one-two-punch of Philadelphia and Forrest Gump really “put him on the map” if you will.

Great line. If people know too much about the real story, or if they know too much about the industry, they might roll their eyes at the melodrama of it all ... Oh well, there are some people who won't be able to enjoy this movie. For me, it's a wonderful piece of entertainment, and I find it very moving. The fact that it is at least partially based in truth does make it more impactful, but I would rather enjoy the fiction of this movie than obsess over historical liberties.

It's because the guys Wick fights are hopelessly inept and Wick always runs out of ammo at the perfect blind spot to fight someone hand to hand without being fired upon. There's just no sense of danger which just left me kind of non plused.

I have nothing to add but I just had to say this is exactly what I love so much about the movie. Perfect summary.

Did anyone actually expect Spotlight to win Best Picture?
It's a pretty incredible film tbf but I swear no one even considered it slightly among the favourites beforehand

To me it seemed like Reubens was the only actor who knew what kind of movie he was in. The movie was pretty campy and goofy. I think the TV show balanced the humor much better but we wouldn't have the show without the movie so it is what it is I guess

The Wedding Singer definitely
I do honestly love 90's Sandler and Big Daddy is the only one I find a bit meh (though Paul Thomas Anderson adores it funny enough)

Martin Scorsese, though Paul Thomas Anderson might surpass him at some point

The best version of Buffy in my opinion. Never liked the show and Kristy Swanson is awesome in this role, she really kicked a lot of ass.

Off the top of my head, Rogue One seemed like it had a troubled development, with a lot of changes being made the year it was set to release. But then the final product ended up being great. The only modern Star Wars movie (so far? 🤷♂️) that I consider worth watching and rewatching
