Reply to "City on Fire" and Reservoir Dogs" by OneADayMens
City on Fire and Reservoir Dogs are very different movies but RD does take inspiration from some the elements from City on Fire. I wouldn't call it out and out plagiarism.

One of them.
I really enjoyed Paul Reubens myself.

Last duel is great movie. Chernobyl is not Russia. It's Ukraine.

If the movie was good, I honestly wouldn’t mind at all. Sure the realism/immersion is broken, but not all movies are striving for, or even care about that. Sometimes breaking the immersion is a cinematic choice in itself. With the case of The Last Duel, the purpose was not to paint a realistic portrait of France during the 1300s; the purpose was to tell a more universal, Rashomon styled story that resonated with the “me too” movement that was happening at the time.

Mike Myers first 4 movies were Wayne's World, Axe Murderer, Wayne's World 2, and Austin Powers. The middle one didn't quite take the world by storm like the other 3 but still a decent movie.

Oh.. You're asking about the TV show!
I read the post title and clicked into the comments hoping to see how the disaster was perceived by the people of Russia and it's neighbours.

I purposefully picked a popular movie to make my point. I am sure it is great, but the terrible cultural realism made it impossible for me to watch as a French person.
Imagine a movie taking place in the USA where actors are all french, speak french, and act as in a french movie. Wouldn't that ruin it for you? (assuming you are North American, but the logic works for other countries too)

The movie is very cheesy but I’d argue the scene where the vampires first attack pyke in his van while he’s driving is actually pretty well done and in some spots intense

OP…after watching the film, why is that the question you are left asking yourself?
Fantasies are fantasies, right?

I almost never fall asleep watching a movie, but I tried twice to watch The Bad Batch (2016) and both times fell asleep at the start of the second act. There seems to be something so sleep-inducing in that film.

Sleeping over at a friend's house we both fell asleep watching it and the DVD went back to the menu. If you aren't familiar with the menu music, it shifts between the soothing boop boop boops to the very loud titles music. It was very anxiety inducing for me and I couldn't turn it off as my mate was sleeping on the remote. Thank you for unlocking this memory.

That’s a shame, The Last Duel is an incredible movie if you can get past the fact they aren’t trying to do French accents.

I tend to fall asleep well to comedies, I will either pop on Rick and Morty which I’ve probably seen each episode 100 times, Airplane, Spaceballs, Robing Hood Men in Tights. Humor has always been my go to for soothing and to assist in turning my brain off, which is something I have a very difficult time doing on my own

Would much rather see Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Watched her in Kate and thought she was great in that action movie.

I would make mid budget movies. I would also give filmmakers i like say 10-30 mil a film and full creative control. We gonna do what 70s Paramount did. Art first. Money later.
