There’s a scene in Picard Season 3 between Patrick Stewart and Gates McFadden (episode 3) where these two actors share a multiple second look with no words that conveys love, respect, anger, hurt and regret in one long look.

The best thing to do is hope Disney implodes. Their marketing and brand recognition is deeply seated.

It's about rich men living to excess because they can. Sure women can fantasize about multiple partners, but it's really about rich men indulging themselves in ways the rest of us can only dream of.

She's in Guns Akimbo which I can recommend. She's also in Mayhem.

1993-2003 making a name for himself
2003-2013 being selective to build prestige and win an Oscar
2015-2023 won his Oscar and prestige, now can do whatever he wants

I've heard a saying once "Everything in life is about sex, except for sex, that's about power"
So far I have not found anything in life that contradicted this saying.

I don't think you can generalize about any single fantasy that most people have. Sexuality is extremely diverse. People fantastize about all different things, and sexual preferences are very individual.
I also don't think it's particularly helpful to try to break it down along gender lines, either. Men, women, and everyone else all fantasize about all different things.

The studio distributors would never go for that. They negotiate with the theater owners. A smaller distributor like Lionsgate will have less bargaining power then a major studio like paramount.

The Devil Wears Prada
Zoolander
Cruella
>It's compelling how the industry itself is a front. The beautiful people simultaneously being the most flawed, battling demons or just being plain awful.
That's pretty judgmental and generalizing. Industry and status doesn't make someone vile or not, only the merit of their individual character.

>Starting with no control over bankable IP and no catalog of decades worth of classic content feels like it makes competing anytime soon impossible.
You know what solves that problem? Billions.
(in all seriousness, you bring up a great point. You'd need a huge amount of money and the IP. Without both, this isn't working.)

As much as I like how I get to see these films much earlier at home because of this, am disappointed when it affects the box office of some of my favorites.

Yeah, it sucks. There are some big films I've missed out seeing on IMAX because of that.
Am thinking of how Mission Impossible and Oppenheimer are so close together and I just wish they share some days because it's ridiculous to have some of these films in IMAX for just 1 week.

Ah yes, because having a different style of taste immediately means I am an uncultured manchild.
Are you even capable of respecting anyone other than clones of yourself? You're one of the most self-righteous presumptuous cunts I have made the mistake of arguing with in some time.
Interesting you call other people out as childish when you literally cannot give some sort of "wisdom" without it being smothered in your superiority complex.

Is it really that popular in Austria? Its fairly popular on the scale of global arthouse cinema, but what is it's local appeal?

Fair, 30 minutes is typically not enough time to get a feel for something, or perhaps I should have said "30 minutes after the title sequence".
I do understand that it IS highly regarded, but I do not understand WHY... Choosing what words mean to support your argument has drawbacks.
I also never said I didn't like the movie, I said I don't understand it. I like the movie just fine. See another thing you're intentionally ignoring is that it's so ingrained in cultural saturation that pieces of it get picked up on here and there.. I'm over 30 years old, people have talked about this movie my whole life. I know who 'Fredo is and what he does...
So even having a somewhat obscured "by proxy" knowledge of this movie, it didn't help. I often wonder if that's more reason why I can't get into it than not, but it's whatever. I don't think people are stupid for liking it, I just don't get their perspective. Maybe give me some of that instead of being a petty bully about it.
