I liked both Godzilla films. The Godzilla 2014 had a stronger story but lacked in the big monster fights. Which I didn't mind cause it made for some cool shots.

King of The Monsters on the other hand definitely had a weaker story. But goddamn were those monster fights amazing and visually stunning. Having KG emerge from the ice was a cool intro. Then burning Godzilla is a sight to behold.

Idk, I'm not religious in any way but I think as long as something is done well I don't mind. Adding religion to something can be fascinating, and I like how Signs pulled it off.

Take Stephen King. He often has religious elements in his works with his scifi. The Stand is probably the most obvious. But take The Dark Tower. It's a western, scifi, fantasy, meta, literary work of art wrapped in a bow of religious allegorical crazyness!

Godzilla King of the Monsters. I expected it to be much worse and came in all but determined to hate it, since I wasn't fond of the 2014 movie. By the end, all the Godzilla universe fanservice had me won over. It ain't perfect, but it was clearly a labor of love and felt like a big budget version of the monster showdown films. It was the movie I wanted from the 2014 film.

I think they are all totally worth the watch, and the escalation of events and impacts of certain moments in this movie hit harder if you’ve seen the first three. But if you just want to see crazy action at it’s finest, which is the main drawing point, then it’s probably fine to only watch 4. But again, I’d highly recommend the others.
