That’s the law’s problem. I am not talking about last minute, I’m talking about not 4 months out, and only because they are exploiting my desire not to have to move again. I am not being an asshole, I am negotiating in good faith. But if they think I’m going to just accept a 15% rent increase, above what I’m seeing the market will bear, they’re wrong.

You’re upset that I shared my opinion on my experience. That’s literally not how implications work. By saying that you would imply, the Berkshires are not all cities and that’s it.

I know the difference between all the counties sorry my dyslexia and learning disability get in the way.🙄have a wonderful day and work on your reading comprehension.

😂😂😂 no one's mad. If someone says "Massachusetts is all cities" and you say "not in the Berkshires", the implication is that everywhere but the Berkshires is cities.

Btw, the county with noho in it is Hampshire county, not Hampden. The counties in western Mass are Berkshire, Franklin, Hampshire and Hampden. If you're gonna generalize about the region, you should make sure that what you're talking about applies to at least half the region.

US Eastern time (UTC-5) is “ideally” centered at 75° W, extending 7.5° to either side. By this logic, one would expect the time zone to extend roughly from 67.5° W to 82.5° W. This actually puts all of New England in UTC-5 except only for the very easternmost parts of Maine.

Where things get wacky is looking at the other end of Eastern Time. 82.5° W falls just a bit west of Cleveland, and yet the time zone continues way past that. Really, MI, IN, KY, TN, GA, and over half of OH should be on Central time, but they aren’t.

I’m not sure how things came to be this way, but it’s interesting how our use of time has drifted from the idea of “Solar Time” in a lot of places.

I’m not arguing what we should or should not be doing about this. I just think this is some interesting context.

And if we stay on standard time, the sun will rise at 4 AM here in summer. Neither is a great solution if you take the extremes of the time zones.

The other option is recognizing that time zones aren't set in stone, and that maybe what's good for one place isn't good for another and change them accordingly. There's no reason why Michigan and Massachusetts have to be in the same time zone.

Just talked to a business agent from 12 recently during our contract negotiations so agree with you on the female angle and Boston residency, and never hurts to contact them asap. Yeah, classes fill up quick but it’s not like a few years back when it was a very long wait

😂 You responded to a comment that said western ma is queer friendly with commentary on the Berkshires, aka the most remote and rural quarter of the region.

Franklin county has greenfield, turners, and half of the towns surrounding UMass/sharing a school district with Amherst, as well as the leftier towns of Sunderland and Montague.

If you're only talking about the Berkshires, clarify that. Lol no one is arguing with you about the Berkshires, especially in a thread dominated with discussion of the pioneer valley.
