Looks way too nice to be $620

I've had several people show up at my door thinking my Lakewood place was for rent. Somebody stole my listing description and photos, reposted it on CL much cheaper and scammed people out of deposits.

What gave it away? Is it the “no oven” with an oven pictured?

And the title says 2br but the description claims it’s a studio

They're not supposed to on Craig's List. You're supposed to use the message feature to get information.

"Shared laundry", but laundry is right there and "cooktop, but no oven". Definitely sus.

Also, the picture doesn't match the description. Yea, ignore it.

Oof and I missed that they left no contact info. Pointless listing.

My advice to anyone looking to buy is just hold right now, be patient and save save save. But then again, who knows. People say the market isn’t going to fall again. Just need to do some hard reading from like housing economics professors from well respected schools. Most of the Time it’s a gamble tho.
All I’m saying is be ready to purchase when the low market comes along. M

It's a good argument for just one reason people get together. Splitting bills is always helpful. The problem is there's a lot of unsuitable partners.
>However the housing market in general is coming down after that boom this summer.
I'm glad to hear it. Shit needs to come down.

Had them in my apartment when I was in college. They can be killed but them being there is problematic to begin with.

People are shacking up and splitting rents. However the housing market in general is coming down after that boom this summer.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a roach in the state of Ohio, and I’ve lived all over it, in several slum lord dwellings too.

There are decent quality apartments in Lakewood for $630~-$700, but not a lot. Just make sure to do your research and check the place out. I've lived on Clifton Blvd for years in decent, fairly large apts that are under $700. Generally in the large brownstone-style apartment buildings.

Yeah I'm just looking for a decent one bedroom that isn't an arm and a leg to rent. Step #1 is finding a job closer to Cleveland that pays more than my current job. Then I'll go from there. Probably gonna start filling out applications next month. I stand to lose a lot of holiday pay if I switch too soon.

The biggest issue with all the people complaining is most of them have unrealistic expectations. "What do you mean I have to pay $1200 a month for a 4 bedroom house for all my kids and dogs!!!?!?"

I'm glad to hear it though. I love that city. I live out of county and throughout the year my heart has pulled further and further from where I live now. Lakewood is like a second home to me now. I've been there a lot this year.

Units staying empty because people won't pay the price gouging.

That's good to see. I wonder what is causing them to lower the prices.

They don't anymore, at least last time I was there a few months ago.
