I googled and saw that, but I think the right name would ring a bell, and it doesn’t look like NCT’s performances are at Bentley.

There was some regional youth theater in the Needham/Newton area ~15 years ago, anyone know of it or know if it’s still around? In high school I dated a girl from Needham who was in it… it could have just been Needham High though. I think they had their performances at Bentley?

Good tip! I was about to buy Beetlejuice tickets in Boston for myself but might do this instead. Looks like I can get like 4th row seats there for the same price as 2nd mezzanine in Boston!

Can never go wrong with Ziggy’s in Brighton!

you can also check Berklee's theater schedule. They do a lot of performances that are pretty affordable $25-40 ticket range.

Actually I'm pretty sure this Reddit post is the first step in ending hundreds of years of collective human behavior.

In this case I would not have intervened unless it was to hold open a door or slide out of the way. People are capable of using their words and asking for help. In my opinion, a double wide stroller is city life on hard mode but who am I to judge someone who makes different decisions than I would. ETA: I think Boston people do a great job of jumping in and helping in true emergencies.

So, I can't really speak to the schools, but if you don't mind the drive to Providence, the Providence Performing Arts Center has Broadway Tour seasons and the tickets are super reasonable (like a whole season for the cost of a single Boston show).
Frozen and How the Grinch stole Christmas are there next year and should be kid appropriate

Check out Riverside Theatreworks in Hyde Park. Community theatre, not a school. But they have junior productions throughout the year.

I'm not a big Sal's pizza fan. But because he's been successful, you don't want people to eat there? STFU you miserable twat.

I grew up in the sticks. It's so much worse there. You have no choice but to drive, and it's just as stressful as it is here. Maybe you get slightly less traffic, but everywhere you want go get to is 10x as far away, and there are way more drunk drivers and just overall shitty drivers

We need traffic calming yesterday:
-narrow the wider roads
-sidewalk bumpouts to slow turning
-raised crosswalks
-no turn on reds
-red light cameras
It's not hard

I guess I can't say right now, but Brookline and Newton have both traditionally been fantastic. Both have produced Broadway - and sitcom - starts relatively recently

I attempted to help a middle aged female open a door to a cafe once since she was juggling a baby carrier and she screamed “I AM FINE!!!” And acted like I was trying to like steal her kid or something. Now I just MMOB unless someone asks for help.

I’m not gonna try to guess what your safety may look like there but I have a friend who has told me she’s witnessed multiple rapes in public on the campus. Both the campus police and the local police really don’t care and don’t respond to those types of calls. Basically if you are in a situation, you are on your own.

Thanks, that’s kind of what I was expecting. My wife would perhaps lower our income a bit, assuming they count is together since we will be both only the mortgage.

My friend did the Mass Affordable Housing Alliance (MAHA) thing where you have to take a class. I saw that your wife would perhaps lower her income so take a look at the amount of annual aggregated income and also the amount of assets you both own, then check if that still works. I think the bank will require a lot of income information so I assume it will go off of W2.
If it does, sign up for a class ASAP, once you take the class, start looking at lenders (the class should be able to help with this I think), lawyers to help should also I think come from the class.
