Oh no. Please visit Atlanta, Miami or the Chicago ones, you wouldn't want to visit NEAQ

Georgia Aquarium absolutely superior. That one giant tank with the enormous glass wall? Crazy

Reply to comment by TurretLauncher in Sorry for the million posts! The RMV has postponed my license suspension for 60 days while they "investigate." Thanks u/SchminksMcGee for suggesting contacting the local news, it's working! And they're digging into the craziness of anyone who drives in MA for 30 days being required to dual-register. by bostonshopper
Didn't mean to misquote, just cut off at the part that is being applied to my situation, at least according to the RMV supervisor I spoke with. I agree that the way I read it, having MA-compliant liability insurance, like I do, should exempt me from the registration requirement, but they're saying it doesn't...

It’s like Carl Sagan said - to rebuild an elevator from scratch, you must first invent the universe.

Boston Public Library, Quincy Market lower level, Faneuil Hall, Time-out Market in Kenmore, Boston Public Market, and pretty much every hotel and coffee shop? Most chain coffee shops, North Station, South Station and any busy bar if you just act like a customer.

Boston advertises their police and fire stations as public bathrooms so you could use the fire station in the middle of the North End. There's a BPL branch as well.
Langone Park has one of those $0.25 quarter operated public bathrooms but most of those I've seen are dilapidated and in a state of disrepair.
If you're around the perimeter, of the North End, you can go to North Station (either the station or the Star Market though the station bathroom is nasty), the Boston Public Market near Haymarket, Faneuil Hall, Marriott Long Wharf (inside is much nicer than the outside bathroom).

I wouldn’t take a group of teens to a brewery.
Flatbread in Davis Square might be fun, they have candlepin bowling, good pizza, and a bar for the adults.

By "not too far back" do you mean before COVID, or during? Because someone on here said since COVID some places are actually going TOO FAR in the opposite direction with wfh policy

You may try either Spin in South Boston which allows kids before 9pm or Lucky Strike in Fenway or Somerville but they also limit the entrance of minors (up to 8pm I think). No live music that I am aware on either of those options.

Lotta good African spots and markets between Roxbury and Brockton. Not that uncommon in those areas. I’ve eaten much sub Saharan African- never had Moroccan.
Actually Suya Joint (West African) is right in Dudley Street. Now Casa Cafe (Cape Verdean) is too.
Obossa is my favorite Nigerian spot in Roslindale

I'm in a similar field (biostats, but the team has some bioinformatics folks) and pre-pandemic it was 1 day a week wfh before covid after a year employed there. Now most of the team comes in maybe 1-2 days.

I’ve only been to the Georgia Aquarium and the NEAQ and the Georgia one straight up ruined the NEAQ for me. I would not go back to NEAQ unless it was free lmao it is tiny and so cramped

I work for a big tech company. Not too far back they were pretty chill with folks remote. Now there’s a big push to have everyone back in 3 days a week. Non of the reasons really seem that solid. You even need to go into an office if you are the only person in your team there. They just want bodies in. Almost like the city wants people spending money down there for the revenue or something 🤷🏻♂️

You're probably going to have to compromise on some of your requirements. Almost no places that meet your description will let in anyone under 18 (much less 21) after dark. You could maybe find some pubs in the afternoon who'll have live music, but I'd temper expectations.
Aeronaut Brewing up in Somerville might be your best shot, but it's a significant walk from the T. They have games and live music on the weekend and they allow all ages. You could try some jazz spots like the Beehive or Club Passim, but they're kind of stuffy and maybe not great for teens who aren't already in to jazz.
