You right big dog. From Harrison to Hampden; all that other stuff is irrelevant

The elevators aren't fixed yet because it requires rebuilding the entire elevator. It isn't just repairing them - they fundamentally have to be rebuilt from scratch.

Yeah, hindsight my comment comes too idealistic. I didn't factor in demographics as a variable that could affect investment, sadly this also is part of my naivety.
I am aware of 1980's Roxbury, I lived just north of Boston Everett/Malden at the time. Those "empty lots" I mentioned all over Blue Hill and Washington, yeah I know these were not great places to be at that time. Progress, is stagnant empty grass lots but it's better than abandoned buildings with rampant drug use in each one. In short time, if done right these will revitalize the area and bring Boston into a new era.

Boston is small, so most of these places are near common touristy spots.
They setup a bathroom on the common when the weather gets a little warmer. But the big tip is still to find the nearest hotel which should never be far away.

They've replaced it with a 1:1 scale model. It's beneath the building.

Yep. The nicer and busier the hotel, the less likely it is anyone would dare ask if you belong there.

Long Wharf Marriott probably. That's about as close as I can think of. The star market under the garden had bathrooms too. So that's sort of on either side of the north end.

That's why I was surprised by the people in the Bioinformatics sub that said work was almost always on site pre COVID. Because it's sort of in line with tech work, the kind of work that can be done from home.
But like we've established, it may not be as common where commutes aren't as bad.

Im going to add on and say that these are the lower end prices for older, not updated units that are in further neighborhoods or not directly on a transit line. Expect to pay 50%-100% more if the goal is an updated apartment or in a closer/trendier neighborhood.

I actually got my WfH job in 2019. Although my company is out of Wellesley. We just opened an office in Cambridge but I have yet to hear anything about it. I feel like no one works in there either and is more for business managing when we have audits and meetings and the like.
Once I got my job, covid didn't effect me at all. Was WfH before. Still WfH today.

Just look up local rental car rental agencies where you live; no need to go all the way to the airport. They all have local offices, but I've found Enterprise to be the most prolific.

It looks like a community electricity program in Malden is still in development. Many communities have them so check where you live. It’s quick and easy to move to them - just make sure you’re signing up for the right type of program. There are many look alike that are more expensive in the long run.

Work in tech consulting. I asked my boss if I could work remote a few days a week in 2016, as my commute was 1.5hrs each way.
He said yes and I pretty much never came back. Been 100% remote, except on-site client work, since then.
Once Covid hit, 95% of the client work has also stayed remote. No client wants to pay for flights, hotel, food expenses anymore.

White people have scared you into not wanting new entertainment and cultural venues developed by native Roxburyians…wow, sad.
Stop being scared of your own shadow and understand you deserve better

If all else fails, the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation has a page here where you can find individual states' laws about private/business restroom access for those with eligible conditions. Mass has a listing that has been explained in other links here, but this might be helpful for future trips elsewhere.
