Reply to comment by [deleted] in Central York School District is back to banning books by melosebrain37
Well that's upsetting to see how the institution shirked its responsibility to pay onto the average person.
That's also a very upsetting read about that republican legislation. Oddly enough the two catholic politicalicians from my area are strongly opposed to it. Makes you think don't it?
I don't know what your problem with Eric Adams. I think it's long time since the mayor of NY declared a war on rats. In the same line you also have religious politicians like Wolf and Shapiro, idk if I'd call them messes.
Man that last presidential election must have been rough for you. Either vote for Trump or throw away a vote on a third party in a swing state.
I think that's a gross oversimplification of religion amd ignores those who maintain their faith but try to change to the institution. I mean, "as dangerous as a nuclear bomb"? But you have your right to your opinion. I hope it was cathartic writing all of that out.
Still I don't see where there would need to be any new forms of protections created targeted at religious abuse. All real forms of abuse are already covered and the system is not likely to be better for most of those kids.

Reply to Could a 4-Day, 32-Hour Work Week Come to Pennsylvania? These 3 Democrats Are Working On It by Open_Veins_8
There’s plenty of supporting evidence for this. When you come home from work you run errands for the next day, do housework and maybe get an hour or so to relax before bed. Gotta go to bed early since work is early the next day. Gets even more complicated if you’re someone who has family to take care of with extracurricular activities or someone who is aging.
It’s just… work, get ready for work the next day, repeat. Until the weekend, where you catch up on personal chores you couldn’t do during the week — if you’re lucky enough to not work weekends.
It’s exhausting.

Penndot is such a joke. They've raised turnpike rates every year for the last 15 years, the roads and bridges are literally crumbling away, and the asshole says they have a surplus and want to give the money back? If they have a surplus then why do we keep paying more? Fix our god damn roads.

Is this what Reddit is about?
Get fake outraged about shit that doesn't concern you in any way, throw some insults and slurs at some abstract group of people, and then get upvotes?

You’re right. It’s often the ONLY route that won’t take 3hrs though. Kinda have to get on it at some points in PA unless you wanna drive all day and spend more in gas/time.

My HS did that one, it is far less impactful and I feel it takes away from the author's intent, but I am sure he is laughing all the way to the bank.

Because it's true.
If you look at penn states expenses, tuition has gone up directly inverse to state funding.
State funding is lower now than 15 years ago

Why do EZPass users need to provide the state with EZPass receipts, when the state has access to the EZPass system? As an EZPass user, I would prefer improved roadways over a refund.

Studies have shown that this shorter work week (with same pay) is a win-win because workers are both happier and more productive.

We did a musical version of A Midsummer Night's Dream in community theater a few years ago and the local "values based" news outlet wouldn't promote it because it was unwholesome.

To be fair, my husband worked at the university level and throwing dildos around probably would have been deemed inappropriate there as well, even behind closed doors.
The play however, banning that is just crazy.

Good answers!
It's worth noting, you can get an inspection sticker 2 months early. If it's due in April, you can get it inspected in February, and get April stickers. Make it clear to the mechanic If you want to do that though, they often will put on the earlier month if you aren't very, very clear.

It’s not bad information. I said it was possible to get a medical exemption to use tint. I didn’t say what kind of tint. Anyone can read the form and rules.

Board member Troy Williams, who is pastor at Calvary Church in Lebanon, said the musical sticks to the basis of the 1960s television show and is the number one school musical in the country, but said the show has no place in the district.

The Addams Family musical reflects today’s culture, Board member Robbie England said, but he did not view that as a good thing.

wait, the musical is sticks to the 60's show but refects modern culture by going toward dispair and death.... wait. what?
