My understanding is the one in Camp Hill became the 2nd location for the Camp Hill Giant. It explains why that store was so different than any other Giant. The current Camp Hill Giant is the 3rd incarnation of the Camp Hill Giant.

I was very young but I vaguely remember the first location being where the Penn State Health building is near 30th Street.

I miss the Camp Hill mall as an indoor mall.

That's a really unfortunate situation and I'm sorry you went through that.

I'm just still not sure how that applies to an entire institution or religion. I've dealt with shitty priests like that but I've also met nice ones that did great work for their community. It's similar to how I've had teachers that were straight up bullies but I don't see that as a condemnation of teachers or public education.

I do agree that there needs to be, and to a degree has been occurring, an acknowledgement of how people in positions of power treat those below them. There's been huge shifts in pedagogical approaches in the past decade or so focusing on this.

As much as I may disagree politically with these people I'm not sure how we ethically keep members of the community from participating in elections and government.

Those are very upsetting stories I think they highlight the problems with fringe insulated communities, more so than an issue with religion.

That is 100% why you got pulled over. They only use it as an excuse. I have limo tint on my sedan and I’ve never once been pulled over because I only drive to pickup my kids from school.

Former public defender here. Cops have no way of knowing when they drive past you what percentage your tint is. Therefore, there are regulations in place that allow a cop to pull you over if you are driving a regular car (coupe/sedan/hatchback) and they cannot see the occupants of the vehicle. Most importantly, it’s often used as a pretext for a stop- meaning, it’s a high crime/drug area and cops are playing the odds that if they pull over the car with tinted windows, they’ll find some excuse to search the car and find some other evidence of illegal activity.

That's absurd. I don't know if this is ultimately Al Schmidt's fault (usually Secretary of State oversees such things), but if it is, maybe we need someone new in his position.

To piggyback off you, this just happened to me. The parking permit website said I could turn in a temporary registration, which is a pink CC. Note, the actual office said I could not turn in a temporary registration. Nevertheless, I turn it in and the individual at the auto tag office made my apartment number look more like a 574 than a 524 (you can tell it's a '2' but if you want to be hold up processes, you could maintain it's a '7'), so they send me it back denied. Meanwhile, I'll probably get a ticket tomorrow, and the day after, etc. So I have to go back to the auto tag office for the THIRD TIME to have the registration REWRITTEN in 2024, so that another office will approve.

Every day I sympathize more and more with Michael Douglas from Falling Down.

A dealership sold me a car with window tint that exceeded what PA allows. He told me that like it was cool and I made him take it off before I left with it. I was like 20 years old any not trying to invite police attention lol.

(This isn’t to refute what your saying. It just sparked a memory that seemed relevant. It wasn’t from the factory like that.)

Here's the list. https://www.tinting-laws.com/

I'm sure manufacturers just pick the most restrictive laws (looks like PA, NY, CA and other states) and make all windows like that else would need 51 different window packages at the factory and then they couldn't move supply around from state to state, and then people couldn't register their car in different states without replacing the windows.

NY and CA have the same window tint law as PA. My guess is that most of not all states have the same law. Auto companies are not gonna make different windows for different states. Seems like the law for most or all states is 70 percent so if a state allows darker tint then that can be added on later by the owner.
