I can confirm that it's been happening at least since the 40s in the Montoursville/Williamsport area. Like other people have mentioned, almost every year

If you look into the map that is linked into this article, it shows where these incidents took place. The Pennsyltucky region is always addressed in different threads as being extremely racist and far right. This map shows very few incidents there though. Perhaps a population density correlation?

Remember the swastika painted on the school rocks in Shippensburg?

Fuck, I grew up with a pathmark down the road. Nothing beat their fried chicken, it was the highlight of my, unhealthy, childhood

Don’t worry about it, I don’t understand why the dmv doesn’t handle tags. Seems like the place for it.

>The state Treasury is holding unclaimed cash and property belonging to roughly 1 in 10 Pennsylvanians - and the passage of one piece of legislation would allow it to speed the return of some of that to its rightful owners, Treasurer Stacy Garrity said Wednesday.
>
>The proposed change would allow the Treasury to automatically write a check to return unclaimed money up to $5,000 to its rightful owner, eliminating the requirement that the owner file formal claim.

Stacy Garrity has done a great job as treasurer. It’s not a high profile position but she’s done a lot with the office. If anyone has a PA 529 account you’d already know. She’s also done a lot with transparency as well. I wouldn’t mind seeing her run for governor but as long as Shapiro doesn’t make any waves, I think it’d take a higher profile politician from the GOP to beat him.
