As long as you stick to York suburbs and York City, it's pretty LGBTQIA+ friendly. Once you get outside of the suburbs and into Red Lion, Dover, Glenrock, etc... it gets sketchy.

In Presidential years generally. Or if there's a terrible candidate for the Pubs that cycle like Mastriano or Oz.
The state legislature has been controlled by the Pubs since well before Corbett put in the gas tax everyone blames Wolf for.

About that hill:
A teenager running from police fell down that hill & died (his name was Nate, dont remember his last name). Across the street was the elementary school I went to, where one of my classes faced the hill & we could see the makeshift memorial ppl made for him.

Phoenixville is extremely gay friendly. I would avoid all of central PA

Don't forget too that another benefit of living here is that you're not very far from a lot of big cities! Also not a lot of traffic either.

We found a house we love in Erie! So I’m glad that it’s an option!

Scranton isn’t too bad. I live in Luzerne county and it has its positives, but a lot of the rural parts of it are not welcoming, coming from me also being LGBTQ+. My boyfriend and I will be moving there soon because of that

Would it be enough to add to the constitution that progressive tax rates are fair? (My understanding is that the PA Supreme Court ruled that flat rate taxes are the only "fair taxes".)

Amish are a special breed. It also seems like Lancaster went down hill recently. I'm just basing my opinion on where I've been with some assumptions in there. If I'm wrong then in wrong

If you are super concerned, any state college town like west Chester would work. It's a great little city and gay street ironically has all the good food. But there is no reason to feel endangered. The only crazies you'll run into is in Philly at night

Avoid Franklin county. I live here and things are trying turn around, but I wouldn’t consider it “safe”. Non discrimination ordinances for LGBTQ+ was repealed recently. https://www.fccforprogress.org/protect-equal-rights

Lowest is 0 actually.
Certain farmland is exempt, children under 21 don't qualify, and property owned by spouses
But also, this is money owed on transfer and as much as the tax is the alternative is that it's taxed like income by the recipient.

Recall also that:
- Bernie is not a Democrat and did not quickly, and never whole-heartedly, back Hillary after he lost. (Thanks for trump, Bern.)
- Trump’s campaign manager, paul manafort, was a paid putin asset whose resume includes helping install another putin asset in Ukraine before Zelensky was elected.
- The possibility of covid coming from that wuhan virus research facility was never fully discounted by Fauci, even to this day.
